This is my stand too

I seriously believe this guy is under some pretty heavy influence. And there are too many loopholes in the Lokpal bill itself, which could and will backfire this anti-corrpution movement. 99% of the protestors dont know sh*t about this and are happy to roam around in bikes and cars with India flags.

While I do agree that there are bound to be many loopholes in the bill, it definitely is a step in the right direction. For somebody paying 2k for a game, bribing 1k for getting a job done may not be a big deal. But go ahead and ask the poor people how bloodily they are harassed. You may not need to buy ration using your ration card, but your driver and your maidservant can barely survive without it. Go and ask your dad how much did he bribe to get the ration card made ? Now apply the same to the poor people. On top of it, go and see how much ration is illegally siphoned off from these ration outlets. And then go and ask your maid how much she ends up getting from the allocated ration quota. Then THINK about it.

Go and try getting your driver's license renewed without bribing. Or getting a passport approved without bribing. Heck, try lodging an FIR in the police station without bribing. Then come back bitch about someone who is at least doing something more than you or me for driving corruption out of this country.

You know it's the height of corruption when you're bound to pay a couple of lacs just to get a child's admission in a reputed school. Or anything between 50-100 lacs (yup, that's a crore) for a medical graduate to get a PG seat inspite of getting selected in the exam.

Obviously people's attitude need to change too, without which the bill is a failure. But at least it's a step towards something substantial.

I respect Anna hazare for d fact that his stand has brought the issue of corruption to d front but his idea of lokpal is full of loopholes.

He demands an omnipotent body with no accountability and consisting of people who are not elected.. Ludicrous.

What exactly have elected people done for the common man in the past 50 years ?

While the rich are getting richer, the poor are finding hard to survive with each passing day.

While on this issue, there OTT-police-is-invincible movies like Dabangg and all need to be curbed down. I went to the local police station yday for lodging an FIR against a mobile phone my friend had lost. The f**king m****c**d police officer didn't even look at us unless he was bribed 500 bucks. Saale such people need to be shot at sight. Bloody c**ksucking bastards.

We shouldn't be discussing this

The easiest way to lose friend is to discuss politics & religion

Anyways I found this very unique view on this issue

It states that Anna has Sonia's support :ko:

Do Read

few lines from it

Surrounded by familiar, notorious and discredited NGOs, social activists, one disgruntled lady police officer and one activist danseuse,

Hazare put on his Gandhi cap, climbed up the well-arranged and well-equipped dais and sat himself down on a unger strike. To retain the focus on the end result of the media-driven blackmail, we will telescope the events between Anna Hazare sitting down on day one with microphone in hand to day four when microphone in hand Hazare announced he would end his hunger strike because the government spine had finally been broken. The writer is convinced Anna Hazare was the single stone useful instrument with a colossal ego, chosen for his Gandhi cap, to bring down two mangoes ? one, push the Prime Minister into a corner and send him the unmistakable signal not to think or act independently of the imported Congress President; resurrect the defunct NAC by pushing some member NGOs and activists to center-stage by staging this dangerous blackmail melodrama

Why do we focus on all the wrongs ? Sure there have been bad govts but we have had good ministers too. Moreover how are we going to decide who gets to be in lokpal ? Anna may be dedicated but he isnt the brightest bulb in d batch. Thank u but I won't prefer an unaccountable body of people who r there solely because they did ten years of social work or something.

And you think the common man has the intelligence to decide who's good and who's not ? When we have 100 channels dedicated to stupid singing and dancing shows, but none highlighting the good and bad done by governments and individuals, do you think we are enlightened enough to choose our reps ? Politics is another drama for us, not to be taken seriously and a thing to stay away from.

THIS. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD THIS. Just lock this thread before it turns into a bitter flamewar. Such topics shouldn't be created, there is bound to be some troll who will post flamebait and everything will go haywire. Flamebaits regarding consoles, cricket team, animes, movies etc is different thing, but topics regarding politics, religion, caste etc etc should be avoided.

This is my opinion.

plus some old guy who died because of spiderman said "With great power comes great temptations"

Even our netas are humans & so are the social workers

In 2020 we will have a new Anna Hazare protesting against the corrupt lokpal body

also Nemo read that article bro

also not to forget from the news thread

Kiran Bedi & Anna Hazare = Rudolf Hess & Adolf Hitler ?

In a moment of enthusiasm, confusion, or diabolical intent, I?m not sure, Kiran Bedi said the following at Ramlila Grounds, where Anna Hazare and co are continuing their protests:

?Anna is India and India is Anna? Now, I?m not sure if Kiran Bedi is aware of the history of such language.  For those of us who?ve been arguing that the Jan Lokpal movement has authoritarian and dictatorial tendencies, and a cult of personality around Anna Hazare, this just proves our point. In the 20th century, of course, the most well known use of this phrase (equating a state to a person, and vice versa) was by Nazis in reference to Adolf Hitler.  Case in point, this speech by Rudolf Hess (Hitler?s Deputy) in 1934, where he says:?Hitler is Germany, as Germany is Hitler?

http://www.youtube.com:80/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=n86_8cMpFYM#at=32

Variations of this phrase was repeated by Nazis often. Anna?s team seems to be gambling that making this all about Anna is a winning strategy, they are mistaken.

This will only hasten the demise of the movement, and expose it for what it is, a scam.
