To ensure our community can always play together, all Resistance Mode Missions will be free to download.”


Open world but with better setting. I'm going to give it a shot. Can't be worse than Far Cry 4 for sure.

Iam talking about main story missions...Main story campaign is only 10-12 hours long in AC games and none of the story missions are fetch quests..

Here are a few behind-the-scenes tidbits directly from our dev team:

  1. There are 95 unique heads/faces as part of the Resistance! We scanned a lot of heads with our state-of-the-art face scanning technology, so many of the characters in the game are pretty special to us, because some of them are us. We are the Revolution!
  2. The open world of occupied Philadelphia is populated with more than 384 unique and individual NPC personalities! We have a wide cast of characters in Homefront: The Revolution, and the great thing about the Resistance is that it’s made up of people who come from all walks of life. We’re really excited that PlayStation fans will get to meet the cast and discover their unique stories.
  3. There are more than 50,000 lines of dialogue reordered to convey the story of Homefront: The Revolution. In order to deliver the level of storytelling we aimed to achieve, we focused on capturing the perfect performance to give our characters and story life. Speaking of dialogue, communication is key in the Co-Op Resistance Mode. You’ll need to work with your team if you want to stand a chance against the KPA.
  4. Gear up with 31 attachments across 6 different weapon groups. All of these can be accessed on the fly without going into any menu, even during combat! The KPA outmatch you when it comes to firepower, but with the Resistance’s conversion kit you can adapt your weapon in battle to stay ahead of your enemies. Out of those attachments, 9 are quite unique and can convert your standard battle rifle into, oh, let’s say, a freedom launcher!
  5. Lastly, you’ll be happy to know there are 136 1/2 rubber ducks in the game(don’t ask about the half one). This one is probably the most critical element to Homefront: The Revolution. You’ll catch glimpses of these little guys as you traverse through the city. Don’t be afraid to investigate abandoned buildings, you might find hidden resistance supply caches and rubber ducks.

Took me about seven hours to complete. The side stuff in this game is not even remotely worth doing, so I skipped the majority of it except for when the game forces you to do some to continue. I'm pretty sure that the game can be done much faster than this to. The original estimate of 30 hours is way beyond anything I could ever see you getting out of this game.

The story as a whole was a major letdown. Characters are extremely poorly written, and the story essentially is strung together by a series of missions that carry no significant weight. By the time that I reached the end I had little to no interest left in what was going on.

There a handful of missions that are decently interesting, with a couple of cool moments, but they do occur well past the halfway point of the game. Additionally, there are some moments in which the environments or at least the atmosphere come across like a true revolution should. It is during these that the glimpses of what this game could have been really do come out, however once again, these are very few and far between.

This game is really trying to be something more than it is, and you can tell that there were some heavy problems during development, especially with it switching hands the few times that it did. This can absolutely needed another delay IMO, but I think they realized that they just needed to get the game out now and not invest anymore time and money into it, as there is already very little hype. The development team certainly could do much more, and I wish them all luck, but it just seems like a case of bad circumstances leading into the development of this game.

It isn't really a collect-a-thon as much as it is trying to be similar to Far Cry and Dying Light. There are different regions, and within those regions, there are small activities that you can do besides the main missions. However, these ultimately boil down to turning on radios, and cutting the power to KPA equipment (however this is as easy as pressing square on them, with half of them literally just sitting in the middle of the street). There are some other minor things besides those two, but they ultimately feel very unrewarding and often times unnecessary.
