Angad.
The speed goes upto 165 KPH in some cases. That too Even when you stop the speedo-meter at minimum speed !!

Angad.
another issues is the calibration of move!! It seems like every ground has a different calibration. Its evident in the video as well....as you can see the bottom half of the bat going underground.

Ph3N0M
Why is there no batsman, only the bat? Makes it look so cheap.

Finally someone points that out , good question , maybe they somehow feel you will feel as you are playing the game yourself [ like a FPS ] but those loons forgot that they used the 3rd person long distance camera
Big Boss
It will be very very difficult to animate the batsman according to the shots. To make it happen, they will have to limit the animations, and hence limit the shots. Without batsman, we can play a range of shots like upper cut, dilscoop, sweep, slog sweep, pull, hook, reverse sweep, late cuts off different angles etc. Cricket is not like Tennis or TT, where same set of animations will work effectively for a wide array of shots. If batsman is there, then late cut will have a single animation, no matter how late we played the ball. The sweep and dilscoop will be difficult, as it had to account for batman's body. One reason why other cricket game's suck is that the shots are limited and we cannot position the batsman properly. We get tired of seeing same set of animations. NitroNeo
Yeah that is true but if they had a budget higher than the current one & some more time then they could have done that , it's bizarre to just see a bat from a long range camera
Big Boss
Yeah that is true but if they had a budget higher than the current one & some more time then they could have done that Not sure they are capable of doing that without ruining the game. Try playing with controller and see how less and generic the batsman animations are.
Ph3N0M
If the batsmen's animations are difficult to make, why don't they use first-person view? I guess first-person would make the game more authentic.

I guess first-person would make the game more authentic. Then we don't even have a bat? That would suck all kinds of balls. Imagine playing a cricket game without knowing where the ball hit the bat. We can only guess that if it went back, it took outside edge.

I Assume you mean a close up camera right ? like in VT4 You see the racket , i want to know the same thing that way animations wont be a major issue

Having a batsman there while playing with move will only make it impossible to sight the ball when its pitched on the leg and so forth (as has been the case in some cricket games). So while batting with move.....i think its way better if you only see the bat!
