Don't expect great looking graphics, consider its a PS2 game on 720p resolution. don't compare a gameplay that can be as good as IC2010 or Ashes 2009, it is buggy The best part is that it is difficult to play shots, you have to pick the line of the ball to play and the timing cannot be missed. Almost all the shots in the book are there including the Dilscoop and are really good too. Bowling and catching is really difficult ;( These are just my first impressions, will have to play more to understand more about the gameplay Bowling is super easy actually....here is how to do it: 1) Press 'T' and move ur move left, right, up or down to choose the delivery! 2) Once ur delivery is chosen (u will see ur option light up on the right top corner where the bowling options are) and will see a marker on the pitch! At this time ur speed meter will start filling up.....to stop it u need to press the move button! If you cross the red line on the speed meter u will bowl a no ball!! 3) Now to move the pitch bowling marker, first keep ur move vertically upright. Now without pressing any button move it slightly forward (away from u) if u wanna bowl a short ball, backwards (towards you) if u wanna bowl full length, left or right and 'then press the 'T' button'. I just quit my match when its my turn to bowl. Stupid Trine didn't even add simulate option, which is there since what? Brian Lara 96? Also, batting during net practise is much easy. In real match, I managed to hit two sixes, and I didn't even intend to hit sixes. Don't play this game like you play real cricket, the timing and bat movement is odd. But I am sure I will get used to it and enjoy it even more. Well worth 870 bucks. And yeah, the USP of this game is Move. If you want a cricket game, get the one from Codies (which sucks BTW) Yup. Also, Trine, work on next installment. This is THE FRANCHISE that will help you develop as gaming studio. Try to get IPL licenses, or create a fake IPL type league or whatever. Make this system work in full stadium matches. Concentrate only on batting, add simulate option. Work on perfecting Move controls. I guarantee it will sell well. I agree.....option to simulate should have been there as bowling in this game is downright boring!!!! As for the six u hit without intention, well its actually realistic as in this game the timing, direction and where the ball hit the bat is all very imp!! So say u wanted to play a cover drive but the ball actually hit the bat when it was towards the end of its swing (i.e. moving upwards) then the ball will move upwards!!! Its difficult to judge how close to you the ball actually is thus its difficult to time shots properly! But the batting tech has lots of promise....now only if someone can implement this tech in a full cricket game !!! Btw...u can choose ur batting assist level....if u keep it at high u will hit all shots niccely....if low then its like real cricket....i keep it on medium Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Posted February 18, 2012 Report Share Posted February 18, 2012 All those finding batting difficult....here is a tip: Let your stance be on off stump....i.e. your bad should hit the ground 'outside' the offstump whe n ur taking ur stance..say at the 4th-5th stump off (i.e 1-2 inch outside off)!! Try it !!! Easier way to understand is, take ur guard exactly like how real players do when they come out to the crease....i.e. holding down their bat vertically in front of the stumps asking the umpire if its middle leg or off!!! Take ur guard on off or middle !!! Also its very important to keep ur bat straight...else if ur timing is even slightly off ul keep getting edges (though even edges can go for 6 in this game ) Finally....calibrate ur move 'exactly' how its shown in the pic in the calibration option!!! Else ur bat will either be too high or too low!!! It should ideally hit the crease...not be above it or go down below inside the pitch! The more i play this game....the better it keeps getting !!! I disagree.....earlier even i felt the same....but change ur stance to what i have mentioned...the current default stance is wrong as its outside leg (u can see this but playing a straight drive when the bowler is not bowling) thus the shots are not executed properly!! Change ur stance.....look at the ball when the bowler is bowling, dont keep looking at the marker...use the marker just as a guide but keep looking at the ball once the bolwer is about to release it....play the shot that u would in real world scenario to that ball...see the results ! Hardly get the ball off the pitch Why dont u show us how to bat.....play with the move and upload ur vid But the above is not my fault.....u really need to time the ball perfectly and hit the middle of the bat to get the ball far in this game!!! The only thing I miss is the option for 'Simulating' an innings! I really really miss it as batting in a 15 over match is super fun as you need to time your innings well.....but then as soon as u finish batting u need to quit bec who the hell will bowl 15 overs !!!! You can only change the assists. They are tied to the difficulty level that runs in the background. Hit Start during a game to tweak the assists.
