I heard some news where R* was working on a new IP for PC and next gen consoles. Rohan Seth Posted July 12, 2013 Report Share Posted July 12, 2013 gta 4 was not more than a 8.5/10 game at most, i remember the hype when it launched, each n every site giving out 10s like crazy, and then i got to play it, lol one of the most disappointing experiences i had when compared to the hype tht led it, disappointed ranks right up there with the ''300'' movie after the hype build-up it had with the ''Madness? this is Sparta" trailer Personally, i wud give it a max of 8/10 (n being generous there, mind you). Among, GTA 3, VC, SA, TBoGT, TL&D, GTA4 was easily the weakest, imho. You clearly didn't see the hype ACIII created... the disappointment level on that game is crazy.. and 300 is a good movie peetch! God awful auto aim system, unplayable without auto-aim, boring characters, boring missions, no interesting side quests. Only thing people look forward in a gta game is the scale of open world and interesting mini games but GTA 4 failed miserably. RDR is far superior in every way possible. sudarsan Posted July 12, 2013 Report Share Posted July 12, 2013 (edited) Dude GTA 4 was huge for it's time There were shiploads of things to do in that game The main story was the most stressed aspect unlike any other game Took me 40+ hrs to complete a single play through The gameplay was also great compared to other open world games of that time It was easily 90+ for me GTA 4 was not as huge as San andreas, SA had lot more variety, City in GTA 4 was just boring. controls alone were bad enough to bring it down to 8.5 for me whole dating thing was annoying as well the mission structure were outdated. go here and jack a car, follow this person on car drive to this place and kill someone. missions were straight forward and bland SA had some cool chase sequences and missions had some variety like drop down on a parachute, plant bomb on a dam and get out quickly. btw it took me 70 hours to do all stunts and kill all pigeons just for the sack of a trophy and i didn't have any other game at that time. Sach4life Posted July 12, 2013 Report Share Posted July 12, 2013 When the first time i played gta 4,i felt overwhelmed. The hype around it along with scale was too much of aweasomeness for me. After completing about 24% of the game,i was totally bored. It felt so lifeless and boring. I lost the interest midway so much so that i havent completed the game till date whereas i had completed both vice city and san andreas more then 2-3 times each. In the end, Gta 4 was disappointing for me. It lacked that gta feeling and that fun element. It took itself too seriously.
