So if it wasn't great for you then it shouldn't be great for anyone else...right? :doh:

Different people, different opinions. Why do people here act as if they have the best taste in games, movies, tv shows etc? :doh: FFS, enjoy what you like and let others enjoy what they like. Don't be like "really?" "WTF?" "LOL" whenever there is a difference of opinion.

PS - This WD vs GTA comparison is really not fair. R* has 13 year experience with modern open world games. They spend 5 years developing each game.

Ubish*t's experience? 6 years --> 6 a*s Creed games.

Characters not memorable? Really?

@Ne0, they could have given you player bought housing but it would have interfered with the narrative. Imagine if Michael was staying anywhere else other than his house some of the story beats wouldn't have been the same. It was deliberate.

hmmm for michael maybe yes .... but for trevor / franklin they could've allowed .... or atleast they could've made the property buying more interesting .... they were quite literally useless to buy.

I think of all GTA games , VC had the best property missions .... you actually felt like a kingpin by the end of the game !

come on man , you can't really bring in the devs experience here into the argument. They don't reduce the cost of the game based on their experience now do they ? Both are open world games and priced the same. There's nothing unfair in comparing the two IMO !

Trevor is the worst character of the lot/ever for me .Trying to be unnecessary badass,very irritating from the start.Just killed the campaign for me :ack: Left the story as he came.The missions were a standard affair.Same old same old.GTA 5 shines in the outskirts of city for me.GTA 5 was one hell of an achievement for Rockstar .Tons of things to do.Talking my ferrari to the top of mount chillad i think was awesome experience :punk: Won't jump in on ps4 though.Too many new games coming.

Isn't Far Cry series open world since first game? Heck all Ubi did from then is make new AAA open world games and throw in occasional Tom Clancy games for old time's sake.

EDIT: What? Trevor is worst character now? Wait lemme me get my spinning totem, this can't be real.

First game was semi-open world like Crysis. Wide open levels but still kinda linear. And there were no side missions. Also it was developed by Crytek, Ubisoft was only the publisher. The second game however was open world and Ubi developed it.

And about Trevor, he's pretty much a representation of the average GTA player. I'm glad they did that. That way you can cause havoc and not break the character.
