EA and Ubisoft has good games, but their reputation goes down the drain due to how they treat gamers by annualizing and killing many beloved franchise and releasing pre-alpha game as full version. BTW for Piracy in PC- yes many people do pirate, who does not love FREE STUFF? Who will not steal if the only punishment is only morale obligation? Even today people buy it onsteam during Holiday sale . IMO GTA games are fun and are best enjoyed on PC because of modding + cheat codes . Forget Raw, Samosa costs like 20-50Rs? I have been to Delhi, good veg samosa costs 25, aloo stuffed like 15. Come at my place, a good aloo/veg one for 10/20 Rs respectively. What I mean is, our local economy is low as compared to Delhi and other Metro/developed cities. Now come to brands, a jeans costs same 3k here and 3k there, same for Pizza. That means if I have to buy a pizza, then I will have to spend more as compared to you guys, same for jeans becuz if I am a Samosa seller, then I sell them at 20 instead of 50. If I am a farmer, then I receive less by selling in lucknow as compared to Delhi/Bang. My recent jeans is 3yrs old and at 650Rs, branded one was bought 5yrs ago for 1200 (now torn). Last month I bought 3 chinos and 2 shirts for 8k from LP during Sale (only becuz I had to buy in an emergncy for cousins weding), I aint gonna buy in 1.5yrs. The only money I spend is in dling pirated games, pricey internet. No cinema halls unless its AAA Holly movie with the hope its going to be released in my city, etc etc. Income is good but only if its limited till here, I cant buy a friggin game for 999 or more. 8k for games for 1.5yrs means less than 8 games for 1.5yrs......*the horror*.Or simply, I can quit gaming, pick up a bat and play alone out there in the field, or drink cofee alone, watch movies alone, or read novels in my spare time while my eyes cry in pain from reading course books n novels all the time, or listen to free pirated music (bt thts piracy again so its out of the solution), or build a swimming pool in my house or shift my working hours around an hour of swimming...and the list goes on Gaming for me is not just passing my time, not just to finish a game and feel the I have achieved something positive, or what makes me happy, or to escape the anger of my elders at young age, or problems at work, or head-shoting to lent-out frustration, or meeting people even when Iam alone, or doing crazy stuff which would have never been possible in real world, or brainstorming myself over a puzzle, or learning patience, or how imp is trust, or starting a new life, or learning from my mistakes and redoing it, or building buildings, or making my char look the way I want myself to be, or being at centre of discussion of an epic topic, or rage quits or......well it shows me how imporant is Biomedical engineering in life (Deus Ex, Crysis). What I mean is, gaming has broadened my aspect of what the world is outside of the boundaries I cant cross yet. How can a lifeless/useless Prosthetic limb can turn into a most desired/better part of our current limbs that it will make ppl cut their limbs to be a cyborg. How can a fake leg turn into an international debate of existance. Though I am not good, but will you let economy hinder the next real Adam Jensen, Megan Reed or David Sarif. If piracy wasnt thr, then I wouldnt be gaming nor a biomedical engineer. Simple Alpha, Joe, Piper, Moon...I like you guys, I mean Joe is younger than me and does so much more than I have ever done, same goes for Alpha, nearly my age yet has achieved so much. Piper n Moon, little older and placed really good. I am still under works and aspire to be a good Biomedical engineer. The forums name is IVG....India...a developing country where many states still need basic internet with proper servers and adequately priced (Delhi and Banglore prices are good, plus the servers, whereas here....the maintainance and pathetic disputes) But Seriously, the moment I start to earn, then I will definitely buy games and wont spend anywhere else cuz gaming is important for me more than anything else. The people who are exchanging tf2 keys/items are tricked into thinking that they are smarter than the average Joe who always pay full price. Steam wants you to do that tiny bit for keys to make you think that you now deserve to get the game on cheaper price. Its just that it hurts too much to a point whr participating a a thread feels unwelcomed. I mean, I dont earn yet nor I play every game that I get my hands on. Hitman is my fav game and I hvnt yet played it jus cuz I dont wanna pirate it. The problem is, not every game is discounted on flipkart nor I hv a debit tht accepts steam nor Internet to download 5gb. Games like gta, saints row,darksouls need an activate connection with quality servers to reduce ping, which again is absent. Only recently things are improving in here, thus now atlst I can think of buying, earlier it wasnt even possible. All I ask is that before you guys come to a conclusion of blaming every pirate out there, maybe there some who just solely cant afford becuz of money, but also cuz of the virtual conditions of a developing city/state. Though yes in the end its not a justified cause of piracy, but I hope I can make it up buy preordering or participating in early access. Your excuse that the money you spend on gaming is spent on internet sounds like "I've paid for the petrol and the bike in which I will flee after stealing the samosas, pity me". There's plenty of PC games that can be bought for cheap. Steam sales and (surprising) Flipkart sales are the proof of this. These days everybody has money sufficient to fulfil their interests. Students (school/college both) get a good amount of pocket money and they can choose to spend it on jeans, Dominos pizza, games, etc. Their choice. But if someone spends money on everything in their life but a (kinda) niche interest like gaming, then hypocricy is over 9000.
