GTA games always had lot of replay value to me, it's always fun to just drive around the city goofing around playing the story missions as you see fit.

GTA SA was even better in this regard, with girlfriends and hot coffee [emoji14]

No other video game city feels as lively and varied as Los Santos, simply driving around listening to music is so much fun. Driving through the desert at night is appropriately spooky whereas driving through the brightly lit downtown areas feels like a completely different experience to that. Or you could drive up to the Vinewood sign and look down at the city lights... man just thinking about all of that makes me want to fire up the game.

I still can't believe Rockstar achieved that level of detail and quality on previous gen consoles.

The story gets a lot of sh*t from some people but it's probably the best and most well-realized stories Rockstar has done. The missions are very creative and rarely ever repeat mechanics to the point of getting boring. You can always count on GTA games to have the most variety when it comes to story missions. One moment you're sniping the engines off a massive aircraft, the other you're chasing it down as it crashes on a dirt bike (and this is all in the same mission).

guys, the installation is taking forever on my PS4 .... the notification says game can be started, but the installation is stuck at 5% for the last 2 hours. I dont understand, why do I need to install the game when it's a digital download ? I don't remember the game taking so long to install on PS3 (it was a disc version though) !

Started the game on PS4. It's been a good 2 years since i completed this on PS3, but still the game feels fresh and looks awesome in next gen. The scale and details that has gone into designing the city can be much more appreciated in FP view. Wish it had 60 FPS though, after playing NiOH, the controls feel so laggy !

Well, I am glad that people are finally waking up to this fact instead of defending it for some proverbial reason like "artistic license" or "cinematic feel".

Another reason to build a PC :)

http://gtaforums.com/topic/889348-take-two-vs-modding/

Take Two declares GTA V modding "illegal", main GTA V mod tool issued C&D

Quote

On June 5th, 2017, we had received an official Cease-and-Desist letter.
It clearly says, that with OpenIV we "allow third parties to defeat security features of its software and modify that software in violation Take-Two's rights".
Yes, this letter is illiterate both technically and grammatically (really, they don't even bothered with proof-reading the text).
Yes, we can go to court and yet again prove that modding is fair use and our actions are legal.
Yes, we could. But we decided not to.

RIP GTA Modding

Wow, they really changed after GTA V. Can't believe they would do that. Seriously? They already make billions and on top of that they sell their awful shark cards and release more online stuff which is super expensive in-game.

Mods honestly are more fun than their own updates and keep their game alive...for years. It was selling point on PC.

Pure greed.

Look at it this way.  If T2 doesn't clamp down on modders, what incentive is there for ppl to pay for in-game money ? Even ppl who've bought stuff paying real money would complain that modders are getting the better deal for nothing.  Not just T2, I think any company which has online sub based revenue system in place wouldn't allow modding .... or is there any company/game which allows that ?

^^Modding doesn't affect online though. OpenIV gets automatically disabled when going online. Everything was fine since people who enjoy SP continue to mod and play and those who enjoy online continue to make money and spend it.

No mods = No GTA.

These same people will buy RDR2 Dayone when it's out. Don't worry.

Not really true.  Anyway, PC is just a small percentage of the overall sales.  I'm sure R* can live without a couple of hundred disgruntled fanboys !
