We all need to buy a gift for a loved one/hated one I thought this would be an appropriate thread.

Well actually there may be similar threads somewhere in the forum but I couldn't find them so mods may merge/move this thread if they see fit.

My problem: I am graduating school in a few days and there is a someone I'd like to say a special goodbye too (she is a chick)

I want to buy her a perfume: was thinking of this

http://www.thebodyshop.in/product_detail.php?prod_id=798&cat_id=7&sub_cat_id=63

A stuffed bear and a necklace/ring my budget is slightly above 1k

What do you guys think? Any better suggestions/ alternatives?

Is it High School or Business school? If its high school, just burn her a CD with songs both of you like. Dont go around spending money on a perfume or jewelry cause you'll regret it later. Evaluate if there is a realistic chance of the 2 of you going out or getting backtogether after school. If its minimal, seriously dude, stick to the CD. It'll be easier for her to remember you, as well.

thats a poor gift if your taste doesnt match with her. She will end up throwing it if she doesnt like whats on it.

Plus not many ppl care about CDs anymore.

gift her a miss you card, 30 bucks and bam!

Its High school :P

Lets just say,I have a mixture of emotional, competitive and egoistic motives to gift her. I want to create a memory,or at least try my best to.

She always mentions perfumes whenever I ask her anything even remotely related to a gift,So I think she would be happy with the perfume. as for the others chicks like stuffed objects, and I think shell remember me if I tell her it has the same name as me. Cheesy I know but I am curious if it would work.

Besides, its not worth buying someone like that a perfume. This is deviating from the fact that a perfume is a very forgettable gift since people are unlikely to keep an empty bottle.

Holy sh*t I was confused about the same topic and here I see someone making a thread about this !

Anyways my best friend's birthday's next month and I donno what I should gift her, I don't mind if the gift is costly but then I also don't want her to think that I am an idiot for buying something so super expensive for her.

Give me ideas ! (No to dress, she has loads of them already...she actually had to throw out half her wardrobe cause she had too many clothes)

Am I the only one who thinks this thread is completely unnecessary.

Next we will have threads with people asking which brand of toilet paper they should use.

@OP...she's ur gf/friend...u should be the one choosing a gift for her...and u say u want to create a memory with the gift...create a memory by gifting something bought with other people's advice??? Pretty high quality memory...huh ???
