Guys...Im a representative of Dell Alienware and i needed your feedback on certain thoughts....

1)What is your general opinion of Alienware and what do you expect from it.

2)Are there any activites you (as a gamer or a Dell Alienware customer)would like to see happen in India.

Basically, I would like to get a general idea on what a gamer expects from his system and what he would like to see happen in India as far as gaming and related events are concerned. As im just a casual gamer, i need some help here.

Feel free to say what you feel as far as say...hmm example( gaming tournaments, game launches...just to name a few..)

Would like to hear any other ideas you guys may have...

Oh ya...would like to hear from you guys in the next couple of days as im on a bit of a time crunch...Thanks alot....

Considering you are really a Alienware rep and not a troll, I would like to say that your laptops are way overpriced and people mostly buy them because:

A. They consider it as status symbol and want to show off

B. They don't know there are better or similar specced laptops available at lesser price

Especially point B. There are laptops from ASUS, MSI and Sager which whoop Alienware laptop's a*s in benchmarks and cost much lesser.

Also, there are lot of throttling issues associated with few Alienware (even Dell) laptops which are unresolved thanks to shoddy customer support. I suggest head over to notebookcheck forums for better info. Now this is about Alienware situation worldwide and not India.

As im just a casual gamer, i need some help here.

You can start giving out some good prices which match dollar to Rs conversion. Currently the prices are quite high, and most of the people buying gaming laptops get it from US rather than Dell India.

Dude I wanted to get a Alienware from Dell when I was on tour. Howeve,r the fact that your product is wayy overpriced not to mention the amazing customization on offer to us Indians. Kinda sad considering that Custom Gaming is supposed to be the forte of your model in the US of A.

Seriously I cant even add a 4 gb ram to your system when on the other hand I can do so on the inspiron(read cheaper) variant. I can customize that to be more than double spec of your model and still cost a good 10 K less. I don't know bout others but its a great turn off for me. take out the logo and we are essentially paying the premium for some fancy LED stuff.

I can't help shake the feeling that Dell is trying to feed us all the outdated refuse from the Western countries and not forgetting to match the price at which its available there

Mate first give a decent enough GPU with a system. After spending 85k on your 14MX i dont want a mid range graphics card that cant even trump 8800 GTX.

Also I do know that it is not what you are looking for as a feedback.. but please pass this on to the person who looks after the hardware.. GT555M are you guys even serious. ??

Well considering that you're working for some external agency who handles dell's marketing and media for high end products. Ill give you the following advice

Do more ground level tournaments and not just big and restricted to only the 4 major metros.

Lots and lots of contests, let people win this stuff not everyone can afford it. Gamers love free stuff.

Take care of your customers, do 'customer only' special events and invite them over, give them free games make them feel special. You're selling an experience and not a netbook. At the end of the day its a high end, brand centric luxury product and you want your customers to buy again.

Currently as you can see Dell is ticking all the wrong boxes 1. High Price 2. Negative thinking about product in community and 3. Very horrid service (which is handled by a 3'rd party which dell has outsourced to, which handles their everyday laptops. Alienware is premium why use the same service providers who don't know how to treat customers?)

I think that about covers it.

Dell India:

Oh and yeah I wasn't kidding that I'll do a Press Release and go and break it in front of your only retail store in the world. This is how a customer of your brand feels, he regrets buying his dream machine. That was Alienware's image before, and this is what it is now. Just pray I don't find a upcoming trip to bangalore and some free time on my hands all at once. My loss (which I've written off already) would be a 1000$, yours would be much much higher.
