spindoctor
meh, $40 for early access. 9-10 keys through trading. Not that bad of a price.
Saumil
You don't have to pay again once the game is out. Although after the disappointments that have been pCARS and R3E, it might not be a bad idea to wait.
Heaven Angel
Project CARS is disappointing? That's new.
Saumil
Ok yeah pCARS might be a bit unfair to write off, it's an excellent package even though the handling has the same airboatiness from the Shift titles. But when you disallow modding in a racing sim, you are basically cutting off its legs. All the best content for GTR 2 came from the modding community, so many high-quality track, car and texture updates and no hassle of anybody having to pay a license fee to anyone. R3E however is a complete disaster, and to think this game was originally supposed to be GTR 3. Simbin has gone and backed the wrong horse with disastrous results. Saumil
InsideSimRacing.tv on Asseto Corsa. I trust these guys to look past fancy graphics and sheer amount of content and be completely blunt about what actually matters in a racing sim (the tyre model and physics). http://www.insidesimracing.tv/pc-racing/assetto-corsa-first-look-available-now/ Physics / Tire Model :Do they live up to their reputation of having the best tire model in the industry?? Yes and then some ! Very easy to get a feel for. What you would expect from Kunos based on Netkar Pro. The best tire feel around when it comes to that “rubber meets the road” feel. The KTM , leaves me speechless really.. I can feel the body and tire sway, when that thing is going to break loose, I can feel it. They’ve tied it all into the force feedback incredibly. It’s still early in my testing and I wanted to try everything, but I kept going back to that XBow. Modability One last thing I’d like to comment on is. The dev team that really supports the ability to mod with these kick a*s new platforms, is going to do well. I feel that rFactor 1 crowd is dying for new platform to call home and this could be it since rFactor 2 has been slow to the punch. No mechanical damage in the beta thus far to comment on but almost every dev does that quite well nowadays. If they can just get the AI to race as good as in GTR2, the King will finally be dethroned .

devil_angel
Guys, The game is out of early access now and is on holiday sale. I'm pleasantly surprised by this game. Simply wow...a true sim. I wouldn't suggest the game for arcade fans or even people without a wheel (if you plan to be competitive online) though. ĐingoĐile ©
There won't be any future models. Logitech are pulling out of the wheel market.
devil_angel
Yeah sucks really. Old wheels are fine performance-wise. The major reason next gen machines are moving on is because of new security chips needed. I'm sticking to PC for sims now. And GT6 and FM4 on the previous gen machines.
