Nintendo Wii U Will Be Present at CES 2012

Nintendo has confirmed that it will be showcasing the Nintendo Wii U at the upcoming CES 2012 conference, but don’t expect the company to allow anyone to try it out, as the Nintendo mentioned that it will be available only for media members and no new content, besides the things shown at E3 2011, will be present.

its not a video game show...no dev is dumb enough to showcase a game at CES.

+1

yes because the focus will be on many electronics & a new xbox or ps can't hog the spotlight if it doesn't have anything exceptional to show & i doubt it would , WII-U Is good but overall it's going to die in 2-3 years after it comes if a new PS and xbox come out by 2013 fall , nintendo is a generation behind with it's graphics , even if they say they focus on gameplay rather than graphics but it will come to bite their arse someday as the next gen of console graphics has a huge potential graphic wise with the available hardware

gotta disagree...granted that nintendo botched it up with the wii in the graphics department, they really achieved what they set out to do and that is convert people into new gamers and increasing the casual gamer market, in fact the iphone would not have been such a success imo if not for the wii which basically created a whole big section of gamers in the form of causal gamers, all nintendo have to do is make a better online service, get the Wii U right in the graphics department (even close enough to the nextbox and ps4 will do) this will help cause then the thrid party devs will not shun it and on of the most imp thing is for godsakes please port the awesome jap games that is one of the biggest screwups by nintty in the wii era..

This is no way easy as we don't know what is the confirmed h/w of ps4 & nextbox , well since a 7 core processor has been around for 2+ years then the new gen consoles would not be able to compete with the new pc hardware graphically such as PCI 3 Cards , 8+ core processors [ i seen some boards on web with 8 core processor support ] & i do assume the processor manufacturers will go for 9+ core processors , next is the ram , with boards having the capacity to update to 64 GB of DDR3 Ram , new consoles have to be powerhouses & with the current WII-U Specs i doubt it can hold out for long , i feel people are both competitive & casual depending on the games they play & these days money is not a issue for most of the people who want to game & this is all the more reason the new gamers will want the best hardware & only people who love traditional gaming will go for nintendos
