I wanna call cust care and get mine replaced as i am soon running out of 1 year warranty. But the cust care number i get in the M$ site is only for US. Is it the number at which i have to call or is there any Local India number at which i can call. if so plz let me know tat number. But when i checked in the website my warranty ends by 13th Oct 2008. So am bit scared. Ethan_Hunt Posted November 5, 2008 Report Share Posted November 5, 2008 ^^ most of the times the replacement guys are nuts.i.e. they dont know how to open the faceplate and check the console.if you live in a place where MS is no where near you have a 100% chance of replacing a moddded console ..done that twice for a friend. but case is different in US.they took my console (legit one) and i got a replacement after a week. these DVD drives should also have a 3yr warranty like RROD warranty on xbx. Just out of sheer curiosity, who exactly determines if the console is modded or not during your replacement? Also what if your console is modded, it dies, you send it out to MS & get a new replacement & they find out later that it was a modded console? Can they really do anything about it? But how in the world would they find out that it's been modded? I mean there is a sticker below the face plate right? What if that's perfectly intact? I got a modded console, it died on me, tried to get it fixed didn't work. Bought a legit PAL console in April this year, has worked like a charm since then.
