i was pretty pessimistic when i was about to contact the MS support after hearing several bad reviews.My console's GPU was damaged and i was getting the 'mode not supported' message.It was out of warranty too so i was prepared to shed some cash too but to my surprise the lady said it would be replaced without cost.I was contacted by Redington 2 days later and 2 days after that i got a fully functional replacement console without hitches.Heck,the guy didn't even check if my old one was damaged or modded(which it wasn't btw).....All in all,it was a surprisingly gr8 experience considering peoples' stories abt how their consoles were left unattended for months.Hope mine doesn't fail on me again and hope the rest of u have the same luck as i did

It's not entirely about luck, most people requesting replacements from Mumbai usually get them within 3-4 working days (sometimes even as less as 24 hours). Also as far as the pick up and drop service is concerned, it's just a regular courier guy making the exchange, he's not going to check for any evidence of a modded console or other hardware failure...

My xbox 360's power brick went dead on Thursday... contacted them at 5:30pm. Had to mail them a picture of receipt (was sent on friday). It seems they do not have a proper record for 2006 batch of consoles sold here. Received a replacement on monday... customer support experience good so far.

does anyone have a WORKING no. for MS India, to register my new 360. i tried registering it online, but it keeps saying, ur country doesn't have this facility let. so im like, f**k u. so i tried calling all the no.

thats where i registered mine

 

 

just did it over the phone. i went to that address, but when i go to the register console tab, it goes to some US site. anyways, done now.

called up MS today to get my console replaced.

 

The first two calls went to China. i couldn't understand their english at all. Argh, mid-way through, I just hung up. they kept calling me "Raul"

 

Anyways, third time's a charm, spoke to an Indian guy. The whole process was a breeze then.

 

Let's see if they deliver

I just wanna clarify couple of things.(Ist tie)

 

1. Does the warranty on the console start from the date of registration or the original sale/bill/invoice date.

2. What all information do you have to provide Microsoft while registering your console?

3. Does Microsoft India replace a console for non RROD faults(eg: drive errors) after the standard one year warrantyhas lapsed.

4. What's the turn around time like for getting a replacement? I live in Gurgaon.

5. Are the replaced consoles refurbished or brand new. If refurbished, are they fitted with the Xephyr board and a Lite-On drive ?

 

@THEDIRECTOR: Which no. did you use to get your console registered?

Well...after a year of close relationship, my 360 has started showing the colors which I generally do not like. :(

I got it twice while playing Bully and while playing Fifa. I think it's time to move on.

 

I called customer care, they asked me the color of Power Adapter LED, but I really didn't notice that when I got RROD. What it is usually like in this case, Orange or Red?

I will anyway check tonight, but I am playing Manager mode, really don't wanna screw my saves trying.

He called me back when the call got disconnected in between :wOOtjumpy:

I really dont know that where to post it but can someone please tell me what is the difference between xbox360core and xbox360elite and what is their price(where is the queries post)
