john117 Posted July 2, 2008 Report Share Posted July 2, 2008 hav finally unlocked OMGUGOTRROD achievement .. yay .. it happend one fateful night when i was playing cod4 on live .. but my experience with xbox customer support has been very pleasent .. I called up MS guys after one week of procrastination .. a nice indian chick with fake american accent picked up the call and registered my xbox then she said i will get a call in 4 days .. ( i called on tuesday ) she called me on thursday saying that i will recieve the replacement in 5 working days ... i got the call from redington guy on monday saying that he has my replacement unit and he's been trying to call me since friday for delivering the xbox but i was not picking up .. which was true as i dont normally pick calls from bangalore landline numbers as 95% of them are telemarketing calls. he came to my house with a replacement unit and took away the dead one for the funeral ... so I finally got my xbox 15 days after it got rrod .. but to be honest the turnaround time of microsoft was just one day .. i m pretty pleased with microsoft. and here are few advantages if r living in a metro and ur xbox rrod's 1) u will get ur xbox with in 0-5 days. 2) the courier guy comes and just gives u the xbox and doesnt check anything .. so if ur lucky u can even replace the modded ones too and some tips - be courteous and patient on the phone .. - dont say anything abt bill if u dont hav one .. they dont ask for it normally.. so my rating for MS cust care 10/10 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

There are much bigger issues at work here than just tech support, which is actually quite decent when compared with local standards as some of the others have pointed out. So now if I happen to sell it will it need re-registering as the adress will change? Will there be any hassle? Not that I want to sell, but just wondering...
