Noctis
let a western dev make a japanese setting game for a change No, just no. All the western Ninja movies have given me a good idea on how that will end up.

Irredeemable
I dont get the obsession americans have with themselves and their country... Aliens land, its in america, russia launches missiles... against america.. video games absolutely NEED to have an american setting. How about having an adventure set in morocco or brazil? Big Boss
^Because the game devs are from America. Why would they go to Brazil OR Morocco or some other random country to do their research and create a game for it? The target audience is also mostly American. That is where the games sell. Even Japanese devs are starting to create games for Western audience. The upcoming DMC, the dudebro-rised RE5 are shining examples.

CarbonCore
Assassin's Creed devs are not American, at least most of them are not.
dylanjosh
No, but I'm willing to guess that whatever the source of the rumour is American. Anyway, its useless paying heed to rumours. None of the rumours for the previous Creed games turned out to be true. No reason this will.
