I activated or bought the Uplay Passport with my account, can I play on another console and still have the advantages of the Uplay Passport?

A: The Uplay Passport is linked to both the account and the console used for activating or buying the Uplay Passport. This means that the account used will retain access to the Uplay Passport on any console used to play Assassin's Creed® III. Also, any account playing Assassin's Creed® III on the console used to activate or buy the Uplay Passport will get access.

Q: I deleted the Uplay Passport from my console, how can I download it again?

A: On both consoles it's possible to download previously downloaded content through the download history.

On Xbox360, this can be accessed through the Settings - Account - Download History option.

- If you select this character as team leader, the others will have that skin even if they don't have it unlocked.

- These characters do not appear for players that do not have them unlocked in their character menu or skin selection.

Q: I have a PlayStation 3 and deleted my local content data, how can I download my exclusive content again?

A: It is possible to download any previously downloaded content through the download history. This can be accessed through the Account Management - Transaction Management - Download List option.

Invalid UPlay Passport / Exclusive content code

If you are receiving an invalid code message, please see the steps below for help in determining why your code will not work.

- Ensure that you are entering the code in the correct place, you can check this here.

- Check that each character is being entered correctly, due to the font used it can be easy to misinterpret certain characters. Please note these common misinterpretations:

Digit 'Six' and 'G' (like Golf)

Digit 'Zero' and 'O' (like 'Oscar'),

Digit 'One' and 'I' (like 'India'),

Digit 'Two' and 'Z' (like 'Zulu'),

Digit 'Eight' and 'B' (like 'Bravo').

- [PS3 only] Does the region of your game match that of your console?

Check to verify that the region of the disc matches the region of the DLC. If your game's product code begins with BLUS, you have a Region 1 disk (US/North America). If the product code begins with BLES, you have a Region 2 (Europe) disc. If your product code starts with BLAS, you have a region 3 (Asian) disc. Downloadable Content is region-locked, meaning that it will only redeem if it matches the region of the disc. If your PSN account is registered in a different region (based on the address you provide when signing up) from your disc, you will not be able to use the DLC with that disc.

Please do not contact customer service in regards to swapping your code, we are unable to swap your code to match your game/account.

- If the issue continues, you should consider whether its possible that the code has already been used. Did you purchase the game preowned or is there the possibility someone else may have already redeemed the code?

If none of the above steps help then please contact support and be sure to include a clear picture of your key.

Limited mode in Assassin's Creed III

How do i know that i am in Limited mode?

When you enter multiplayer, you will receive a message indicating that you are in limited mode and that some features are limited.

AC3_Limited_1.jpg

You will also notice that most of the menus are grey, there is also red text in the upper right part of your screen as you can see below:

AC3_Limited_2.jpg

Why i am in Limited mode?

There are several reasons why you are in limited mode:

- The servers are down.

- You are not using an online account or you are not signed in (Playstation Network or Xbox Live).

- You haven't linked your PSN ID to a uplay account (PS3 only).

In any of the above circumstances, the text you receive won't explain the exact reasons, it will always refers to the server being down.

There is also a message that will be displayed when we plan to shutdown the servers in the bottom left, so you can anticipate the shutdown.

- If the servers are down.

It could be the Ubisoft servers or the console servers (Sony and Microsoft) that are unavailable. If you want to check if the servers are back, you need to use the Go online option on the main menu.

The game will not automatically switch you from Limited to Online mode when they are back.

- You are not using an online account or not signed.

If you are using an Xbox live or PSN account that has not been registered online, you will be always be restricted to limited mode.

The game will ask you to select a profile but if you select a not online account you will go in limited mode.

To counter that, you can set the online profile in sign in auto by default.

- You haven't linked your PSN ID to a uplay account (PS3 only).

You don't have linked your user to a uplay account (PS3 only).

On PS3, you must link your profile to an Uplay account otherwise you will fall in limited mode.

Things to check when you are in Limited mode.

1. That you are connected to Wi-Fi or your ethernet cable is connected to the back of your console.

2. Your Gamertag/PSN ID is registered online (if not, it will need to be).

3. You are connected to the network service (Xbox live /PSN).

4. You are actually signed in online.

5. Your Uplay account is linked to your user account (PS3 only).

6. Check on Facebook, Twitter or Assassin's Creed official Website if the servers are available.

7. Select Go online from the main menu.

What can i do in Limited mode?

The number of things you can do in limited mode is restricted.

- Play wolf pack alone in different difficulties.

- Play introductory session (tutorials).

- Explore a map in playground mode.

- Change the multiplayer options.

- Consult the animus database.

What can I earn by playing in limited mode?

Even if you are able to play wolf pack, you won't earn any Xp, credits, challenges, or accolades.

But you can do the achievement/trophy "Reach sequence 10 in a map in wolf pack multiplayer mode" even if you are not online (other multiplayer achievements/trophies cannot be obtained).

Limited mode error for me too... Though interestingly, MP works fine if I use an Indian PSN account. Doesn't seem to work with the US one though (which has all my trophies, friends etc). Shame, I was on course 100%ting this game.

On the bright side, now I don't have to worry about full memory syncs!
