Assassin's Creed III

Some members saying it's already added into the the main file of the game?....There is no separate file for Benedict mission it comes with man download file of the game?

As suggested earlier, maybe it's included in the game download? Just check for the icon when it appears in New Yor

It will show up in New York as a sword icon. Then it will eventually unlock the travel point to West Point (or Fort Putnam.) from the New York Map. That's how you'll know you have or don't have the Benedict Arnold missions

Ank,sagar nd all..

Goto New York and check if there is any sword icon........Icon will appear once you have cleared sequence 9...

Multiplayer connection setup in Assassin’s Creed III

If you are receiving any multiplayer connection issues, or having trouble connecting to a multiplayer game please try the following:

XBOX Users

- Start by testing your Xbox live connection with the following steps:

1. Start at the Xbox 360 dashboard.

2. From the My Xbox menu scroll to the far right to System Settings.

3. Choose Network Settings.

4. Select your connection type (wired or wireless).

5. Choose Test Xbox Live connection.

- If this test shows your connection as either moderate or strict then you will most likely have some sort of interference within your connection to Xbox Live. In this case, please try the steps below:

1. Restart your network hardware. Turn off your Xbox 360, Modem, and Router and wait about 15 - 30 seconds

2. Fully power up your modem

3. Fully power up your router

4. Turn on your Xbox 360 and test the Xbox Live connection again.

- At this point if you still have trouble then you may have a firewall interfering with your connection. Please configure the following network ports within your router:

TCP 443

TCP 80

UDP 3074

- Finally, if this does not solve your issue, try placing your Xbox 360 in the DMZ of the router or establishing a direct connection to your modem and retry.

For more information, please visit the Xbox Support Article on this subject.

PS3 Users

- Start by testing your network connection with the following steps:

1. Start at the PS3 XMB.

2. Scroll to Settings.

3. Choose Network Settings.

4. Select Internet Connection Test.

- If this test shows your connection as NAT type 3, then you will most likely have some sort of interference within your connection to the online servers. In this case, please try the steps below:

1. Restart your network hardware. Turn off your PS3, Modem, and Router and wait about 15 - 30 seconds

2. Fully power up your modem

3. Fully power up your router

4. Turn on your PS3 and test the network connection again

- At this point if you still have trouble then you may have a firewall interfering with your connection. Please configure the following network ports within your router:

PlayStation Network Required Ports:

UDP: 3658

UDP: 3478-3479

TCP: 80, 443, 5223

Assassin's Creed III Ports:

TCP (remote port): 80, 443

UDP (local port): 3658

- Finally, if this does not solve your problem, try establishing a direct connection to your modem (bypass the router) and retry.

Multiplayer Connection Problems

Most network connection problems are not related to a problem with the game, but are caused by different possible network configurations. First, you will need to find out what style NAT (Network Address Translation) the PS3 believes that you are using.

To check what NAT you are using:

In the PS3 system software, go to: Settings -> Network Settings -> Settings and Connection Status List and the last line on the screen will list the type of NAT you have beside the line, "NAT type".

• If the NAT type is NAT1, you are directly connect to Internet (which means there is no firewall present) and should not have any trouble connecting online.

• If the NAT type is NAT2, your router or firewall is probably correctly configured, more on this below.

• If the NAT type is NAT3, your router or firewall is incorrectly configured for use with the PS3, and you will need to contact your ISP or router/firewall manufacturer for additional assistance.

If your NAT type is NAT2 or NAT3, we have compiled some general information and links to get you started, but it's still a good idea to contact your ISP or router/firewall manufacturer for additional assistance if you are experiencing problems with network connectivity.

From official PS3 online manual:

Bandwidth and NAT issues in Assassin’s Creed III

What is the NAT?

Also known as Network Address Translation, this is the process your router uses to manage network traffic for the devices on your network (e.g. your console). If you are interested in more information on this process you can always check sites such as Wikipedia for more detailed overview.

For Assassin's Creed III, there are three different NAT statuses:

- Open

Open NAT is the optimal setting. You will join Game Sessions and communicate with other Players without experiencing any problems.

- Moderate

You will not be able to play or communicate with Players who have Strict NAT.

- Strict

You may not be able to join certain Game Sessions or communicate with other Players while playing. Average matchmaking wait times will be adversely affected.

What's the impact of NAT?

The main problem is that if you have an incompatible NAT with your friend it will be impossible to join or create a group with them. The impact of the NAT can also be felt on the matchmaking side because depending of your NAT, it may be difficult to find an opponent. If you are waiting a long time to find an opponent this can be because it is proving difficult to find players with compatible NAT types.

Where I can find my NAT type in multiplayer?

You can see your NAT type everywhere in the game menu beside your profile name.

AC3_NAT_4.jpg

Indication of your NAT type

The color shows the Nat type:

- Green = Open

- Orange = Moderate

- Red = Strict

What can i do to have a better Nat type?

You can also try improving your NAT type by activating the UPnP on your box or your router using the administrative interface. Support cannot advise you on where to find this setting as it is different depending on your model of router.

You will also need open the ports, 3074 TCP/UDP for Xbox360 and 3658 TCP/UDP for Ps3.

More detail on improving your multiplayer performance can be found here.

/!\There is also a colour bar next to your name at different stages of the multiplayer menu, this is not the NAT type, it's the player bandwidth quality.

AC3_NAT_6.jpg

Bandwidth quality as indicated by the colour bar

What's the impact of the bandwidth?

If the colour bar indicates poor bandwidth (also visible by pressing back/select in game), and you are in a session full of players with good bandwidth, you will probably see players teleporting and other issues linked to your bandwidth.

AC3_NAT_7.jpg

Bandwidth quality as displayed in the game

If you have good bandwidth inside a session where everybody else has bad bandwidth, you will not really be impacted.

What can I do if I have a bad bandwidth?

Check to see if you are sharing your network connection with other devices such as PCs/Laptops for example. We'd recommend that you stop using these while you play because it will use a part of the bandwidth.

Completed the game. One time play, not challenging enough except for some 1,2 sequences in the end and was definitely not worth all the hype it received. Some of the historical missions are so blatantly forced, comes no where close to AC2. Although absorbing, pleasantly an actual ending, underrated graphics, some of scenes were so damn beautiful, fun to play and above all, you get to kill all animals specially murder bears with a tomahawk to the skull  Also, some of the optional side missions are more interesting than the main plot..

Haven't face much glitches, bugs myself. still those who have not already brought, worth the 6-7months wait tiill UBISOFT fix it.

@ cat, repped. will try to resolve the issue in the evening.. hope the mp works. else i don't see why i will keep this game with me anymore!

Assassin's Creed III is off to a hot start. As part of its financial report for the six-month period ended September 30, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot revealed that first-week sales of the studio's critically acclaimed stealth-action game came in at an estimated 3.5 million copies. This represents a year-on-year increase of over 100 percent from last year's Assassin's Creed: Revelations.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday Ubisoft officially announced the Assassin's Creed Anthology and revealed it will launch November 30 exclusively in the United Kingdom through Amazon. No mention was made of a launch outside of the region, so perhaps it's a make-good for all the Brit-killing in the new game? As was rumored earlier in the week, the Anthology will definitely include all five Assassin's Creed games; Assassin's Creed, Assassin's Creed II, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Assassin's Creed: Revelations, and Assassin's Creed III. Additionally, the Xbox 360 and PlayStation premium bundle will include all expansion packs and downloadable content for each game, including the DLC season pass for Assassin's Creed III. The bundle also packs in five game-themed lithographs, a steelbook case, and a collector's box.
