Assassin’s Creed 3 PC to ship with all patches

Assassin’s Creed 3 on consoles will have been patched at least twice by the time it hits PC, but the matser race won’t have to wait for these improvements.

In a Reddit AMA thread, a number of Ubisoft staff members answered questions about the upcoming PC release and plans for patches.

“Lots of bug fixes incoming. PC release will include the first two patches on release,” creative director Alex Hutchinson confirmed.

Senior community developer Gabe Graziani said the PC version will receive all DLC the console releases have access to. He said the wait for the port is justified because Ubisoft “added a lot more detail to the PC version and support for DX11. Stuff that we didn’t really need to think about for the console versions,” as well as some PC-specific patches.

The next patch is in certification, and is due “really really soon” according to Graziani, with details expected in the next week. Ubisoft has quite a few plans for what to address in upcoming patches; Hutchinson confirmed a future update will allow players to raise Connor’s hood post-ending, for example.

AI and gameplay team lead Aleissia Laidacker said Ubisoft is looking at tweaking the controls for chase missions, as the combination of run and free run into one button can cause headaches.

The AMA is still open and there’s loads more to browse through; hit the link above to check it out.

Assassin’s Creed 3 is out now on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360; the Wii U version arrives at console launch; and the PC version is due before the end of the month.

WTF is this :ranting: That was the major reason why I went with the PS3 version :(

I thought it'd be like the Copernicus missions which were truly exclusive.

No PS3 exclusive after all :giggle:

Well I stand vindicated, PC edition gets all the extra missions / side-quests that came as 'exclusives' OR will later get tacked as minor-DLC's.

But the status quo remains, where to get the Season Pass?

You have a boss PC and still went for PS3. :ko:

Even if none-off the missions would have come on PC version, I would still go for it because of the stability and graphical goodness of it.

If you've pre-ordered it on steam, you'll be able to buy season pass from steam.

It's a pleasant surprise.I just played Benedict arnold's mission and it was better than many of the story missions i've played and not too mention it had more grass and lushness compared to many of story mission.I don't think it's around 60 min though.

I went for the retail version, the Season Pass is €30. Will it be worth it?

Now that is a question, let me get the game, if I like it maybe the DLC is worth a shot.

Ubisoft are bloody liars. In this way how long will they do business is a question.By the way i dont know why people say master race etc.Only for the graphics?

If that is the case then i would say gameplay wise consoles are the master race because compared to pc consoles have more number of enjoyable titles and blockbuster hits.

Moreover consoles have a rule of viewing. If you are not keeping a distance of min 3 feet between yourself and the TV and complaining about its graphical quality then i dont know what to say.

As far as this game is concerned it looks good in consoles too.
