This thread would have been closed even before you could reach the second page.. That said, I agree with SAM on one count. This site is not run by robots but by human beings and mistakes happen. Also there is no harm if you wanna mock sachin as much as you want. NDTV got a show called Guthaki Maaf that mocks everyone and everybody. I guess we should just put this behind us. We are all hard working and intelligent people. We can do better than that. If jiggy is calling sachin tendulkar names that wont change his status one bit, infact i would say people have become even more passionate about their icon? correct me if i am wrong. so that is good for those who revere him right? And Jiggy bhai, I am one member who is not scared of anyone here, but i do respect them for the work that they do here. So it feels bad when you say that your friends are not supporting you on this. AtheK Posted February 18, 2012 Report Share Posted February 18, 2012 alrite guyz i am back from wedding and pretty tired bht guess i owe you all an explanation. this is specifically cos members asked for it not cos jigsaw deserves one. jigsaw has been acting wierd and been using unacceptable language all the time on forums. we have been letting it go for quite sometine even after members reporting it. on 12th feb i got a pm from a member saying some action should be taken against jigsaw if moderators are watching his posts. i can post a screenshot of the message once i am back to blore tomorrow evening. sorry dude(you know who you are) i had to say this in public altough it was a pm. but if i pkst a screenshot i will hide your name. so i posted a warning on cricket thread for jigsaw to keep a check on his tone. well hell broke loose in his life after that i guess. we had some nasty exchanges of words and i said goodbye to him. but guess our man was not done he kept coming back to me trying to provoke a reaction, which unfortunately he never got. custom title are won and not granted so i decided for the kind of behavior he has had he does not deserve one. so i changed it back to member. later i realized that since he is more then 1000 post old it should be and was changed to senior member. his id was never vandalized. tgere is no demotion being a seniir member does not give you extra rights. it was a mistake to change it to member which was fixed. now you guys tell me something how did i break rules. did i ban him? did i suspend him? was his posting rights revoked? did i say any bad words about him? did i ask him for an apology? did i lock this thread? did i ever ask him to be not anti sachin? you probably know the answers, reason i replied so late in night is i love this place more then any one you can imagine, and we mods have always been lenient. but when members come knocking for help it can't be ignored. jigsaw just said he pity's me, you guys tell me what should have i done. ps: i won't respond to jigsaw he can keep spreading the hate. If this silly contortion of your story is true, what was keeping you from posting all this ALL THIS TIME? AtheK, it's a laughable excuse at best. Especially after the way you jumped in on the thread in the afternoon yesterday the moment I was gone, making statements like "He's gone, Who cares?" You can hate Sachin all you want, noone has the right to stop you from hating him. However, there is something known as public sentiment. If a lot of people clearly have a problem with something, common sense would dictate that something should be stopped. Eg: On death of Michael Jackson, making MJ jokes immediately or where someone posts their friend died because of an OD of drugs and they are sad; replying with something like 'He did drugs so he deserved it' would be considered distasteful. You might be right or atleast not wrong in both situations, but its clearly the wrong thing to be said at the wrong time. Coming to your case, its not very peculiar or anything. Sachin may not have died or might not have OD'ed, which means you are entitled to say what you want to say. But when people make it fairly obvious to you at their displeasure of the comments, so much so that you have been warned, the sensible thing would be to stop or atleast twist into a way its constructive, rather than abusive or insulting. Seems like you'd gone for a little longer despite the above warning being exhorted. Well, Id honestly you're very lucky to have not got a short suspension. I've been on this forums almost since the beginning when there were hardly 15-20 members. And I've to say , this is perhaps the most well moderated and linent forum you'll come across. No other forums will let u have this kind of free and frank exchange allowing you to question the integrity of mods, allowing you to open a public thread bashing a mod etc. No matter if you are right or wrong. I've been part of gtaforums for some time, and there, ppl got ip banned for posting racist jokes ! Not even a targeted comment towards a person, just a joke ! You've not been banned so far, you are allowed to debate this publicly, but to ask for an apology, is just pushing it dude. I still suggest - drop it amd move on. I don't for once doubt that the mods here are friendlier or approachable as compared to other places. It's just that a place that you love, a community that you like so much, all that had to come crashing down to one person's egotistical abuse of power and the wanton need to show someone his "aukaad" I let it go when i saw the same people who I thought were friends, mock me instead of standing by what is right all day yesterday.
