Joy Posted March 16, 2012 Report Share Posted March 16, 2012 So it happened last night, turned on my ps3 after a 4-5 days gap and getting this red light blinking symptom for the very first time in the 3yr life span of my PS3 80GB. It shuts off by itself sometimes immediately or sometimes after few minutes to 15-20mins gap while ingame or even in xmb. Was losing interest in gaming any way, mp was the only thing left , that's gone too. Was a nice journey from pc to console gaming. Hope to be back sometime later when KZ4 comes. Zuko Posted March 16, 2012 Report Share Posted March 16, 2012 I know it may sound weird but i checked a couple of website and the same problem came with people who are getting their ps3 overheated../.... do use your ps3 in an open environment or is it in shelf........... coz.... if overheating is the problem then i guess the vents might be blocked.... just check and let us know...... Might go for 50% replacement if I'm in mood. I hardly used my PS3 much compared to others , still its kaput in 3yrs, sony's build quality is pathetic to say the least , hope they improve it next generation of consoles.
