Report: God of War: Ascension coming Spring 2013 without 3D or multiplayer support God of War III was released in March 2010 so a Spring 2013 release date for God of War: Ascension sounds about right. This would mean that Santa Monica Studio has three full years to work on the game. The product page suggests that God of War: Ascension will be singleplayer only and won’t have 3D support. This may come as a disappointment to some but it’s important to remember that these details could change at any point prior to the game’s release. God of War: Ascension’s director also teased a reveal of further details about the game at the end of April, and suggested that we may even see first gameplay footage at that time.
