killzone123 Posted February 19, 2010 Report Share Posted February 19, 2010 (edited) OT What Happend to ManoMax ?? just read about that manomax thing...well i will mention a instance...few days back in shout he (ie manomax) posted a link...i just clicked on it and the next moment i got logged out from my mail ,ivg etc...i had saved the link in a word file but later just forgot about it...and deleted that word file too...but last few days my laptop is acting bit weird...i keep getting a message that a program wants to pop a message by windows (im using vista) and when i click that my windows explorer restarts on its own and again i am logged out from whtever sites i am logged in...i am using quickheal anti virus and did a virus scan just now and nothing was found ...but still scared because i use my laptop for all net banking,paypal,cc etc etc stuff...anyone who has knowledge can clear this out for me??? and is it connected with the link i mentioned about earlier??? because seeing the seriousness of the issue i am myself scared and confused because i am not that much a technical guy Edited February 19, 2010 by killzone123 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

But the incident in which he was banned was different from what Obaid posted. If he has been posting different links containing virus/malware then I don't really buy the "he didn't know what he was doing excuse". Its not funny at all for those who clicked on the link. @kz Computer restarting often is a pretty common sign of virus infection. And quick heal is not very good from my personal experience, try some other anti-virus software. He was telling me that he didn't know that it was having any malware or something as the link was given to him by a friend and he went ahead and posted it here before checking. He seems to be a nice guy and I don't think he did it intentionally. He was very sad that he was banned and he was even asking me for MT's number so he can talk and convince him.
