The C word :| I grew up in a small town in UP (Khurja to be precise), and there, this C word is still not considered offensive. People use it like everyday.. everywhere.. all the time. We grew up calling each other 'Ch*tiya' in front of our elders, and got called 'Ch*tiya' for doing something moronic. So when I first came to Delhi and used this word in front of my colleagues, I was instantly shunned down. At first I was really confused about what did I do wrong. But then I realized what was the problem. Akram miyaan ne kuch soch kar jeb se ek 10 ka note nikala aur Maulvi saahab ko thama diya aur uth kar chalne lage. Maulvi saahab note ko dekh kar hairat main hi tthe ki tabhi tez hawa chali aur dulhan ka ghoonghat uth gaya. The C word is extremely common like bey, sala etc. Parents call their children that. But in Pune, whoa that is like MC BC level stuff.
