Keyofx
Yeah, don't ever get caught up in Youtube comments. As far as online commentors go, it's one of the absolute worst. It's all just hate for the sake of hating. That said, I saw a demo of this at E3 last year. Not my sort of game (or genre), but I thought it would look better than it did. The genre seems like it lends itself well to dingy, claustrophobic environments, and lighting to be used as an important part of level design, but I wasn't that impressed. Nothing's changed, apparently. Middling reviews coming in from PAX.. :|
Shadoken
He has a point though. I hope that trailer wasn't from PS4 , textures are really bad for a PS4 game O.o. As a PS3/360 game though , it looks decent enough visually. And yea its getting some mixed previews http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/04/12/how-the-evil-within-fails-at-horror Coming from the guy behind RE4 and Vanquish. I doubt this can be all that bad , but again hes in an entirely new dev team. and both P* and Capcom5 are A-tier devs. woh gaming chaloo kiya xbox 1 se...what do you expect from people starting game from that generation...woh din uss ne dekha hi nahi jaha sala 2 moving blocks hi character hota tha....yeha car hota tha.....hum log graphics ke piche itna nahi bhagta hai kyuon ki ...we know how far we have come today and can appreciate it....yeh naya generation kabhi nahi samaj payega. Even during that generation , at the time I though 3D looked like sh*t. It was all about GLORIOUS 2D Edited April 12, 2014 by Shadoken
GeraltOfRivia
I thought that Shinji, creator of Resident Evil and Dino Crisis, will bring back Survival Horror to its glorious position once again. But so far it seems to be just another mediocre game in the genre The only hope left now is in Kojima's Silent Hill if that ever happens. CarbonCore
Mikami never disappoints, I fully trust his choices about gameplay even if they look weird and out of place at first glance. Just read the first and last 10 pages of Vanquish thread and you'll see what I mean.
playstationdude
^As far as silent hill goes I would love a new game around the original story line. The later ones were not that great imho.
Aftrunner
Its getting some really poor press previews right now. Hopefully its just a poorly chosen slice of gameplay they decided to show off.
Shadoken
Yea thats true , maybe they dont wanna spoil everything. This guy doesnt have a single bad title under his belt , I doubt this could turn out as bad as previews are pointing out.
dante77
Still looking forward to it. People who played games like Clock Tower know how rare these type of games are.

GeraltOfRivia
I wish that this game turns out as good as you guys are hoping for. I am definitely going to play this (pre-ordered at Snapdeal long ago).

As much as I love the Silent Hill series, the best one was SH2 which was only tangentially related to the core plot of the series. I didn't get a chance to play Downpour but I thought Homecoming was a serviceable entry into the series.

I played all the silent hill games till now...it is the only series in video gaming where i have played each and everyone ever to have been released. In my opinion SH Homecoming is really very good but downpour was not up to mark...it was one of the worst Sh games imo.
GeraltOfRivia
I really want Kojima to work on the next Silent Hill. He is also good friends with Akira Yamaoka and Masahiro Ito and should try to bring them in on the next iteration.

Haven't played every single one though I have read the wiki and to be honest the story just didn't seem that engrossing to me anymore
Razpor
Not surprised with the negative remarks, its hard to judge a horror game based on a short demo, and from what i ve read ,the demo not being well put together didn't help either
playstationdude
I really wish they come up with a game like resident evil : dead aim. That ship atmosphere was boss. That was the reason I liked revelations but that wasn't as good as dead aim. Or do something like resident evil: nemesis.
