Dev just don't give a damn about PC version nowadays seriously 2 week old released card is already in recommended..

For lulz. I'm pretty sure it'll run smoothly on old cards, just like Mordor.

Steam -- Available for pre-load on October 10th. (We will update when it's live)

Nice!

Can I run it on a card with less than 4 gigs of VRAM?

Of course! It's not even a question.

For PC players, we’ll provide debug commands on how you can alter the framerate and aspect ratio, but these commands and changes are not recommended or supported and we suggest everyone play the game as it was designed and intended for the best experience.

Good for us.

For all versions:

Brightness

Display area adjustment

Screen Grain adjustment

Additional options for PC (if supported by your hardware)

Fullscreen or windowed support

Anti-aliasing – FXAA, MLAA, SMAA

Shadow Quality – High, Medium, Low

Motion Blur

SSAO

Reflections

What about texture resolution ?

On PC, you can turn off the bars and force the game to render full-screen. However this option is not supported. We’re keeping the ability to turn off bars as a console-only command that we will share at launch

Good..

They have done it by making the game in the letterbox format, not to mention capped the frame-rate to boot on the account of vision.

Also, these are games, not movies or films, stop making it 'cinematic'. -_-

Games can much more than just "games"now. They provide different kind of experiences now which were not there earlier. I wouldn't want games to have a rigid definition.

Anyways, what i meant to say was that i like the look of black bars in some games for some reason. Cinematic isn't exactly the reason. I just like the look of some games with black bars.

^ Well when you put it into 'cinematic' territory, you are making it rigid. You are defining and limiting it.

Games can much more than just "games"now. They provide different kind of experiences now which were not there earlier.

And they do it with different mechanics and systems. Not by locking frame rates and aspect ratios. Just an opinion.

Will the black bars hinder experience on a 46" screen !

So, what happens to the aspect ratio, does it append to a widescreen standard or stretched letterbox?

On my TV I have seen most blu rays have a common aspect ratio of 2.35:1 . these are the ones that run in full widescreen . the other with 1.85:1 ratio , have bars which go away if I pan in but usually result in pixelation due to compression ! Also there is a certain loss in image from sides because it gets cuts out .

I just hope that doesn't happpen with this game when we remove the bars and it retains the image quality :fear:

Edit : The game runs in 2.35:1 aspect ratio . f**k yeahh :D

looks like this game was tailor made to give the best experience on consoles !

Those black bars are big. Glad I skipped this game. If The Order has these big black bars, f**k that game too.

here

Order 1886 black bars are not as big as EW plus it looks much much better than EW

Edit : Consoles have an option to remove them

No only PC version will have the option not consoles....
