I din play much last time because the lag and login issues were fking terrible. I was in the US server , forgot what race i picked. What's your ID? or we have played before? __ There are 4 types of skills. Armor Skills - responsible for armor efficiency and for your defence. Weapons Skills - responsible for weapon strength. Class Skills - special abilities restricted by your class. Crafting Skills - crafting abilities There are also skills that can be discovered through exploration. Your character can get access to these lines only if he joins specific guilds or discovers them while traveling: Mages Guild - become available if you join Mages Guild. Fighters Guild - becove available if you join Fighters Guild. Dark Brotherhood - becove available if you join Dark Brotherhood (Will be added in post-launch updates). Thieves Guild - becove available if you join Thieves Guild (Will be added in post-launch updates). Vampire - skills that allow you to use Vampire abilities. Werwolf - skills that allow you to use Werwolf abilities. Each category has sub categories with active or passive abilities. (5+5). Each weapon tree levels up independently, you level up in the weapon tree by using corresponding weapon types and its’ abilities in battle. If you fight with two handed weapons you progress in using this weapon and open new skills in the two handed tree. If you take sword and shield you will not be able to use abilities for two handers but can for one handed. You will have to progress in using this new weapon type from scratch to progress in that skill tree. This can be applied for all weapon types in Elder Scrolls Online. Each weapon type has its own independent progression bar and independent tree of skills. After reaching the 4th level in using definite weapon skill you can Morph this skill by adding new effects. These effects make your weapon abilities more effective. You can increase damage, add extra armor penetration, add stun or something else. Players can morph their skills to suit their gameplay. It's quite big and I have yet to explore everything. Previous BETAs were quite buggy. Armor skill: 3 types. Light/Medium and Heavy. This is like "RUNES" in GW2. If you wear full heavy set, you get full heavy perks. (knockback, power melee, increasted healing received, reduces damage, high HP and cost of blocking). In ESO, you are not restricted like GW2. You can also mix and match any armor set. Medium + Heavy. Or all 3. Perks in the Heavy Armour tree are better for those who prefer to receive a lot of damage. Perks from the Medium Armour tree are better for those who prefer to control enemies or sneak a lot. Perks from Light Armour will help spell casters. Race bonus: Just like SKYRIM. It stays passive. (+Ultimate). You can use Ultimate if you want. Class: 4 classes. Each has 3 talent trees that focus on a specific path. The hotbar can hold 5 active skills and 1 ultimate ability, with another hotbar when switching weapons. (like The Secret World). Guild perks: Available after you join guild(s).It's quite big and each guild has special skill/perks. __ 2. Are those 6 slots only for active abilities or for active and passive both? All passives are always active, so go ahead, unlock them all. ESO doesn't have any restrictions. You can get everything and become everything. Regarding active: Only five (plus a powerful ultimate skill) can be equipped at a time and can be freely swapped outside of combat. 3. Even in middle of BETA you get wiped and have to start again. So don't spend lot of time on creating your character. I just played with Nord. You didnt had to mention the details of the various skills n all....lol. Sorry to take so much of your time. GW2, man what to say abt it. It was a really MMO changing experience for the whole world. But i cudnt buy it due to cost. ESO takes MOST of the points from it and mixes vd TES. In short, its a bit gw2 clone. And I dont think i vl buy ESO, sorry dude. Same lifeless combat with 0 animation, no feedback, no feel, nothing.Moving to new zone/entering a dungeons takes 5-10 minutes. Don't feel like testing anything. Will be very happy with they work a little bit more on combat. Ok, I m back. Who is playing??? Are you able to login without any issue? Today earlier, had to wait in queue, then server went down. You have been placed in the queue to log in. Thank you for your patience. Approximate Wait Time: 23 min. 30 sec. Edit: Also stupid random patches when quitting. Downloads everything again.
