They just need to work on combat and game is good to go. Why would you buy this over FF online if you are a console buyer ? Because FFXIV is old school grinder, has dry battles and gets very boring after few hours. Also, horrible HUD with shinny-girly colors. For $15 monthly, FFXIV is not the game I'd buy. _ Why get this? For one, TES is better and bigger. Has better quests, better community, no sh*t HUD, factions, no girly stuffs, etc. Only downside is combat, which I feel they'll fix it before launch. 1. Queue logins are applied when server maintaince is near to completion. happened last night with me too. 2.Combat:L Totally agree with, the most shitiest combat ever in an MMO. 3. No random patches for me. 4. Main loading screen after main menu takes 7min (character requesting login), else its 2-5min. 5. They are implementing this concept to create some kind of balance. That means, auto attacking amounts to melee combat, using attacking spells like flurry (dual wield skill- 6 continuos hits) will count as short range. Spells and bows count as medium/long ranged. It's know for its LORE which is more important in video gaming and it's probably the best lore out there. About combat, yes it sucks, but it's still very much playable for SP game.
