Jerush
You review on the previous page is pretty clear and makes me wanna buy the game. Still, a few questions. (Might be silly, since I haven't played any mmo) 1. Matchmaking: Hope matchmaking is available for all PVE modes (dungeons quests, etc.). No matchmaking in destiny's raid meant that one part of the game was inaccessible for me. 2. Is the game playable with randoms, or do i have to form proper teams? 3. Worst case scenario, if I don't find players, Is it possible to solo?
Heaven Angel
Nothing silly about those questions. It's available, and it's completely user controlled. You can use the in-build group finder. It not only includes search option for dungeons, but also for public events, quests, exploring, etc. You can find players for pretty much everything (except for story). Best part of it is, you can actually select what kind of player you are looking for. Veteran - click on veteran. Normal - click on normal. Want healer or fighter or support - select accordingly. It really depends on the group. Of course sometimes the group fails, but it's fun to, heh. The community is one of the most friendly community out there. If you don't like what other guy is doing, you better tell (and they will do the same). You get together and play. Never ran into bad groups (like 1 in 20). Yep. You can solo everything, except group dungeons and trials. No worries though. You'll find players everywhere. Never had problem finding players for dungeons & trails. Open world public events/anchors require group (well, recommended). You'll find players around those events all the time. So nothing to worry about it. Enjoy. And, don't rush. The locations are absolutely beautiful. Play at your own pace. It'll take lot of time to clear entire game.
Jerush
Thanks. Much relieved now. Looking forward to my first MMO
pale-illusionist
Only thing I am worried about is how many no of players will be available. Also in destiny u can easily find group for everything. Issue is random grp can be hectic

psinide
Hey guys, I'm getting this and I know a couple of guys who are getting it too. I cancelled my pre-order from Amazon & ordered it via the PSN cos there was no mention of the Explorer pack on Amazon. The PSN page mentions the Explorer pack. and yes, it is available on the Indian PSN store. Also, Amazon & Flipkart, both had it listed, spoke with the Flipkart guys and they said they are sold out. Probably gonna be on the Aldemeri faction, lemme know if any of you guys joining the same faction, would love to play together
Jerush
Preordered on psn. Can only join by 12th.. 65gb😞 Anyone joining Daggerfall?
psinide
You can start pre-loading it from the 8th. If you order it from the PSN, you get the Explorer pack free, which means you are not restricted to the race/class system. You get an Any Race to Any Faction bonus. 4-5 of my friends & I will be most probably on Aldemeri
Heaven Angel
For the queen. YAY!Once you finish main story, you can explore other alliances, but they will be veteran levels.Example: If you play for Aldmeri Dominion. Ebonheart Pact will be V1 to V5 level based and Daggerfall Covenant will be V6 to V10. New zones are above that. V11-V15.Enjoy.
psinide
I just hope we have decent servers to connect to from India. Pretty much set on a high elf sorc, destro & resto staffs... any tips for beginners @Joe Cool? And whats the grinding quotient in this game? Heaven Angel
Excellent choice. My main character is Altmer Sorcerer as well. Destro & Resto staffs. I did play fair portion of the game with other weapons too, but nope, staffs FTW! Restoration staff turned out to be my favorite by end, mainly because of survival capacity. You can last for hours without dying in Alliance war and dungeons. Also, you control entire battlefield, which is just awesome. Tips, well, for starters, try to explore as much as you can and enjoy. Plenty of characters to talk to. Lot of locations, amazing amount of detail. Do public events/anchors whenever you are near it. Visit public dungeons whenever you can. It's fun and open to all. Also, very nice way to get loot. Spend some time just sitting around nice locations, listening to music and seeing people doing dumb stuff. Interact with others. It's always nice to make acquaintance. Try new weapons for a change. You might find some useful and some not. Give everything a try though. Join raids/large parties for public dungeon raids. This might not be that much fun, but it is done for looting. So, see yourself. It's fast quick runs. Take part in Alliance war. You are automatically leveled to 50 when you join. So everyone has same power (except veterans). Join guilds. One casual/fun/groups, etc and one for trading. Don't be an arsehole. No offense, but I have seen many who just act like a prick and scream. Don't be that. TES community is very friendly if you want it to be. Be nice, and everyone will be nice. Be a prick and nobody will play with you. Crafting is very good. Keep an eye on chat window (create tabs if you like to keep it clean). Filter trades and /m /say chat, etc. Don't waste quality mats on low level gear. Save it or trade it. The new update has added plenty of stuff, such as stealing from guards, bounty, etc. So, group up for taking down. Do not look at others level or armor or items. It'll only make you feel disappointed or will set your mind to rush. Only MMO where I haven't felt like grinding at all. I hit level 1 to 50 without grinding anything. Just do quests, explore, take part in events and do group dungeons when you are ready. By the time you reach final story quest, you will hit level 50. Veteran level is different story though. You will have 2 choices. Either explore other alliances and do quests; or grind dungeons like crazy. PS: Play it slowly. Game has plenty to offer. Enjoy every moment of it, and talk to every character and listen/read.
Django_3101
Wow!!! This looks interesting... But only background I have is Destiny, I don't know if this is my type of game
psinide
If you like RPGs (Skyrim, Dragon Age, Witcher) this is your kind of game. Imagine Skyrim, but at an MMO level. I've seen a lot of videos and it looks like a proper RPG with a decent story/quest line. The PVP element in the game is also quite cool with 3 factions battling for control of a single area. Its absolute mayhem - the good kind of mayhem. I used to play a lot of RPGs back in the day (Knight Online, 2Moons, Tera Online etc) and ESO looks like the best game to back back in it. @Joe Cool, thanks for the tips!! How does the PvP work? Is the battle for the Ruby Throne a weekly thing or a daily thing?
Heaven Angel
Five campaigns if I recall correctly. Launch had 30-90 days too, but got removed. Last time I logged in: Thornblade - 1 month long. Azura's Star - 1 month long. Chillrend - 2 weeks long. Haderus - 1 week long. Blackwater Blade - 5 days long, non-Veteran players only. Things might be been changed now or not. But pretty sure there are 1 week battle campaigns. Alliance War is DAMM FUN! Love those hour long siege fights. Getting attacked by both alliances. Protecting the emperor. Etc. Edit: Cyrodiil also has QUESTS! Yes, quests while war is going on. Taking over towns. Protecting people. Has dungeons too. Get raided by other alliances, fights inside dungeons. Ah! Lovely days.
