Ph3N0M
I use PS3 browser a lot, and it's utter sh*t. It has crashed my PS3 a lot, even after the recent upgrade. They should just have given rights to Mozilla or Google to develop browser. On topic, why should we have to pay for a browser? It's not like multiplayer where we use company's servers. And does the latest IE have addons for downloading videos, etc?
Big Boss
Used IE 9. Still a sh*t browser. Only a n00b or a retarded MS fanboy will use it over Chrome or Opera or Firefox.
VelivolusDas
Seriously who browses on their consoles anyway? The PS3 browser was uber crap. I am sure the 360 wouldn't have the kind of memory either to run a browser well I do.... I got the PS3 even before I ever got a laptop/PC in my house..... So, have some fond memories with the PS3 browser.... Heck, I even registered on GI from that browser itself..... And, for me, at those times, a console having a browser was But yeah, I agree, it's crappy.....

IE9 isnt that bad really. I use it in Win7 to open corporate sites that dont work on any other browser. Its decent enough unlike some of its horrendous predecessors. The problem is that it doesnt bring anything new to the table that Chrome or FF dont offer. It wont bring back any of the crowd that switched to the newer browsers after frustration with IE, what it will do is to keep the less tech savvy crowd from switching
Aftrunner
IE 9 is perfectly fine. Ambar is doing his usual "MS made it it must be sh*t" routine. If you asked him why its sh*t, I bet you money he will have to google to find out some "complaints" he can have with it. I cant remember the last time it crashed on me, performance is excellent even with multiple tabs open and no issues with any plugins so far. And I use a ton of plugins. Infact when it comes to some Adobe plug ins it works better than Opera. Firefox on the other hand has consistently gone down the toilet. I have used it on the work PC, home PC and the laptop and its generally bad everywhere. Random freezes every now and then and its an absolutely unbelievable memory hog. Its not such a big deal on my home PCs but the low config PCs I use at work get absolutely murdered if I start using Firefox with multiple windows or tabs. Only a idiot will use Firefox .. It's even pathetic than old IE browsers That browser crashed within 5 minutes of installation On the other hand IE 9 and Chrome never crash I don't use Opera

You know me too well but he uses Vista Only a idiot will use Firefox ..It's even pathetic than old IE browsers That browser crashed within 5 minutes of installation On the other hand IE 9 and Chrome never crash I don't use Opera Even Chrome crashes for me. IE never ever crashed unless I opened few tabs all loading videos. Its not about the crashing. It is about the functionality and speed. Chrome and Opera open web pages way too fast on my PC compared to IE. The cache is also better, just hit back button on a heavy page on IE 9 and Chrome, you will see the difference. Only improvement I can see in IE 9 is the opening speed is very good and the overall look is more polished. I dont like the location of address bar. It feels very odd. Then there is no good extension/add on. As I said, it is a good browser for n00bs, or a rabid MS fanboy.

Zeehunter
^^ I Heard about caching problem but never experienced it ( I am pretty sure you found this problem after doing a thorough Google Search ) Might be coz of 8 Mbps connection Even if it exists only connections with slower speed will face that problem Dunno about add on .. I just use Orbit downloader add on which works 100 times better on IE9 than Chrome . It just doesn't recognize the links in Chrome half of the times Starts instantly , looks polished , never crashes .. What more you expect from a browser ?? It's not over cluttered like Firefox .. Just plain and simple like Chrome

Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk 2 IE 10 on Windows 8 is actually awesome .. And IE 9 is pretty decent IE on Windows phone is also good (except it doesn't cache websites ) Jack of all trades , master of none That idiom actually applies to Sony more than Microsoft as you are trying to imply

MoonStruckHorrors
Opera + Chrome FTW! Why IE sucks? I'm reading a beginner's Javascript book these days. In every topic along with "how to do this", there's a subtopic "how to do this in IE". Stupid, stupid browser.

In every topic along with "how to do this", there's a subtopic "how to do this in IE". Stupid, stupid browser. which should technically be renamed to "how to do it in IE6". It is all because of that version, that dreadful version which is still in use by a lot of newbies at computing. I do not remember doing anything different for ie7 onwards, tbh. Yes, ie7, and ie8 were also sh*t, but that was MS's Vista period. It was the period of drastic change and that's why everything was so buggy.
