That animal buddy system is a good idea.

It's Pay 2 Win tatti for mobile most likely, like all of ten cent's garbage.

Cheeni "gamers" are suckers and get bamboozled with mtx laden games like this.

Cyberpunk 2077's wall running scrapped due to design reasons

So they have now cut out

  • 3rd Person cut-scenes
  • Wall-running
  • The Techie class
  • Flathead Bot
  • Vehicle Customization
  • Using Wardrobes to change your outfit
  • Customizable apartments
  • Subway rides

And still 5 months to go

I have been following this game pretty extensively now and some of these features were never fully confirmed. So saying that all of these features were "cut" gives a wrong impression. Namely -

These features were never there or at least promised.

- Vehicle Customization

- Subway Rides.

Features that they actually showcased or confirmed which actually got cut are

- Flathead bot

- Wall-running (Even though it was shown for 2 seconds as part of Mantis Blade gameplay)

- Customizable Apartments.

These features need more clearance upon and i'll do that.

- 3rd person cut-scenes - They are still there but for very important moments - this was always the intended case, people just assumed that it was going to be heavy on third person scenes because of 2018 demo i'd assume, even though majority of it was in first person.

- Techie Class -  It mostly was about crafting and support perks which have NOT been removed, they are just moved now to "Crafting" and "Engineering"..Techie was supposed to have that and Flathead as feature and they apparently said that it felt too much like Netrunner so they just removed the bot, not the "class"

- Using Wardrobes to change your outfit - Skillup mentioned this, but he was referring to the 2018 demo where V picked a jacket from wardrobe, it doesn't mean you can't change your clothes. You just go to your inventory now instead of your wardrobe, which was obviously a placeholder if you look back at the demo.

No subway in Cyberpunk 2077: fast travel works like in The Witcher 3

Originally you could travel fast via the underground in Cyberpunk 2077 - for money. The actual system in the game now works differently.

Update from June 28, 2020: If you want to get from A to B quickly in Cyberpunk 2077 , just run to a tourism terminal. Once unlocked, nothing stands in the way of jumping into another corner of Night City.

However, the subway has not only served as a fast travel vehicle, but can no longer be used . You can travel fast at the subway entrances and that for free, but the actual journey is not shown. Incidentally, the techie game style also had to give way. The developers explained the reasons for this and why it is still in the game in the GameStar podcast .

Correct about Techie. The techie became the technology attribute, which can be increased via skill points. You can always do that, since Cyberpunk has a flexible system and no fixed classes.

We can actually use it in the game, but not regularly as a little Robo-Buddy.

  • High animation effort: The flathead should have been animated in a complex manner. After all, the little crawler runs through the level in theory and helps us with the hacking.
  • No differentiation from the Netrunner: Since the Netrunner can also hack from a distance, the question naturally arises, why you need the bot at all - the hacker can do it just like that. A division was also difficult: How should the player understand which systems he can approach as a Netrunner and which as a Techie? The possibilities for both playing styles would be limited and the principle behind it would be misleading.
  • One companion too many: With helpers like Jackie and later also Johnny Silverhand, we have actually loyal companions at Cyberpunk 2077. That makes a bot as a pet - as cute as that would be - superfluous for the developers.

Cyberpunk 2077 is a DirectX 12 exclusive for the PC

Quote

According to Gollent, “Cyberpunk 2077 will work absolutely fine with all DX12-compatible GPUs.” This means if you have a DirectX 12 compatible graphics card, you’ll be fine to play the game — but those with older graphics cards may struggle.

Quote

He added: "Regarding DX12 Ultimate, Cyberpunk 2077 will work absolutely fine with all DX12-compatible GPUs. What the "Ultimate" feature set does is it allows us to do more if the hardware allows for it. We opted to go with DX12 for two main reasons".

Gollent continued: "Firstly, it is the standard API for the Xbox platforms, and with the game also coming to Xbox One, we naturally wanted to have it implemented as soon as possible. Secondly, it is the birthplace of DXR, and given we had plans to invest in DXR very early on, that made the choice to go with DX12 a pretty straightforward one".

Information for this game is really all over the place huh..They were almost always very hush hush about these features with the usual "we can't confirm it yet" so i assumed that they were not 100%, specially since the features that are there were widely talked about as compared to these. But i guess they did let it slip in few interviews or facebook messages. Fair enough.

Concept art.

Sparsely populated by Nomads, the Badlands are the vast plains outside of the city proper. Unchecked resource extraction, burning oil fields, rampant pollution; this district makes Night City feel like a rich oasis. But it holds golden opportunities for those in the know.

There will be other vehicles but likely you won't be able to use them. Hovercraft / Aerodynes / Helicopters / Ospreys etc for NPC/cinematic effect.

Only bikes and cars will be available for player - at least what I read so far.

Anyone else getting 'The World of Cyberpunk 2077' book? Compared to other artbooks, this seems like a proper guide to the world and all the lore and not just a collection of concept art. It's on Amazon for 3366 right now. The Deluxe Edition looks cool but seems like a ripoff for 5k more
