played for a couple of hours, and man, the graphics is so damn breathtaking.  I highly doubt I can see any other game in the same way.  Its not just the overall quality, but the density of the whole city.  I'm still following the main quest, waiting for the game to open up a little and not really paying much attention to side quests.  The cyperpunk env is so spot on man, everything from the atmosphere to the soundtracks.  For anyone playing this game, I guess a good sound system makes the experience 2x better.

Sorry for repeating, If you are playing this on old gen console, you are doing it wrong!

If you are not bothered about the bugs, you hardly gonna have the actual experience the game has in consoles like ps4 or xbox one. Maybe on PS5 and XSX when the nextgen patch gonna arrive as they still have the required hardware to run this game.

If you have a really good PC, this game is must play (dont bother about the trend of hating CP77). This game can give your high end system a run for it's money.

If you have a next gen console, give it a go after next gen patch. Even currently, The game doesn't look nowhere near as good as PC version in my PS5. (I have a good RTX gpu, plus console version has fixed lod, lower texture, lower details than pc)

Don't bother with ps4 and xbone version. I have 3 versions of this game, Steam PC, Physical PC for GOG and  PS4 physical. The PS4 version is TRASH on my ps4 pro. On my PS5 it still the same quality as ps4, but have high framerates with dynamic scaling of resolution (but still, its still blurry than PC) and just doesn't yield much bugs due to being on SSD, thus streaming data as fast as game require.

One very important thing to consider when playing this game, do not install it on HDD. The game is more buggy if installed on HDD (because of the streaming nature of the engine).

I hate to disagree, but isn't the studio at fault for even releasing the 'trash' versions (on the systems you mentioned) of the game, in the first place?

I would've been perfectly happy if the game just released on PC (with all bells and whistles), even though I don't have one. Yes, I would drool while watching the amazing graphics on YT videos and I would even wish for the game to be available on a system I own someday, but if CDPR explained that the things they are going for, is just not possible on a current/previous gen console, I would certainly understand.

I'm willing to agree that the game is great (by design, story, etc.), but I don't agree with the thinking that a player is at fault for buying the game that is available on a platform that they own.

CDPR execs are nothing but greedy and, for me, they have no credibility anymore. I will get a PS5 (eventually) and the game will get a next-gen patch (hopefully), but even then I'll mostly buy a used copy of the game. I do not want to give CDPR a single penny of my money.

Last time I was so angry at a studio was Ubisoft for ACIII. Vowed to never buy an AC game at full price and I've stuck with that. It'll be the same for any and all CDPR games in the future.

I can understand your frustration but you gotta understand that some ports are meant to be on some specific platform even if it's multiplat games. That's why there are reviews for different platforms.

I'm personally a multi consoles and pc owner (mainly a pc centric guy who only has consoles for exclusive games mostly, and also wife is a console gamer) and many games I do have on multiple platforms. Some games plays better on PC, some on console. Specially japanese devs who never bothers for PC versions and thus many of the japanese games are actually bad on PC. Example: Nier Automata.

I bought it first on Steam, but it was soo broken that I had to refund and instead I got the ps4 version which by the reviews, is far better than the PC version.

When Witcher 3 launched back in 2015, the game wasn't the best version on PS4 either. I have both ps4pro and pc version of that game as well,  the console version runs bad with no stable 30 fps on pro during combat, and reduced LOD, some graphical downgrade even in a game from 2015(Once u play the pc version you can easily see the difference). So one can clearly imagine how CDPR's next game in 2020 will run on the same old hardware! Plus, CDPR is actually a PC centric dev.

Again, I'm not blaming gamer in any way, CDPR is at fault here, and they shouldn't make such false commitment to bump up the hype. Console gamers could have waited for reviews done on console version. Afaik, all the reviews before release was on ONLY ON PC. CDPR never shipped the console code for reviews because they knew the game is Broken in old gen consoles.

So after having spent close to 20hrs in this game, got to say this has been turning out to be one of the best games I've played so far.

Pros:

- The game's atmosphere so spot on.  The theme of cyberpunk is plastered all over from the music to the art to the way people dress to the architecture of the city and even the quests.  All are oozing with style.

- Quests are really awesome, even the side quests. There's a lot of quests available, enough to forget the main quest, which itself has been stellar so far.

- voice acting is to notch, so are the sound effects.  Having a good sound system amplifies the game play experience to a great extent.

- graphics is really awesome, feels like true next gen game.  Many a times, I would just stop and marvel at the beautiful city the game devs have created !

Cons:

- There are bugs still prevalent, objects popping up, cars getting stuck with each other sometimes, and passing through each other at other times, even v passed through NPC's.

- Open world is dumb and passive.  There's tons of stuff going on an around at any point, but they are hardly interactive.  Some of them keep repeating the same lines everyday, doing the same stuff whenever you pass by them.

- The in game inventory and shop is so last gen.  Actually it's almost at a PS2 era.  For example, even games like GTA SA/Yakuza had some animations when you visit a shop/try out clothes/rest at a restaurant etc, here's it's nothing. Your want to buy a soda or a a clothing item or a meal, you just select from a menu and it gets transferred to V's inventory.

But, despite the drawbacks, I'm liking the game perhaps because, I was fully expecting these drawbacks.  I'm just hopping from one quest to another, there's so much side quests, I'm mostly attending to them and attending to main quests only when I want to know what's happening with the main quest ! Also some of the side quests are of very good quality and not the usual fetch quests seen in other opens world games !
