I actually had to take a break from gaming due to COVID. Body pain was too much to do stuff. Then Mom was infected and had to be hospitalized. But she is back and doing well now.

 

Back to gaming now and installed Cyberpunk. Chugging along on my old RX480. I'm actually thinking on if I should continue playing this or come back to it when it's patched further.

- 2176 x 1224p on Xbox Series X / Playstation 5, targeting 60FPS.
- X has a Quality Mode running at 1800p@30FPS, which is absent in PS5.
- Overall solid performance on both consoles.
- Textures, shadows, draw distance and NPC density lower on PS5.
- The best console to play Cyberpunk is Xbox Series X right now

Yes... exactly. The vehicle acceleration is very wobbly and I'm not saying I'm a great driver in video games but I'm often crashing into things and other cars which is odd.

Also, the entire daytime city feels dull in general. Peds just walking around aimlessly. They hardly do or say anything remotely interesting.

I think most Devs don't get the open world setting right apart from R*.  It's not just about filling it with content, but filling it with interesting / interactive content. I don't know how many remember the interesting conversations with the cab drivers in GTA 4, attention to small stuff like this is what makes their world more interesting/engaging.

Also, the damn ANIMATIONS and lip-sync!!. My goodness. I can't believe they have been done procedurally. Every open world game studio should just straight up steal CDPR's tech. (Looking at Ubi, Bethesda and Bioware)

You should drive the one I showed, easy to handle and kahi bhi ghus jaata hai. Handling 100%. I'm not leaving that vehicle now. :D

A couple of tips -

 

  1. If you are running into CPU bottleneck in market areas, try dropping "Crowd Density" to medium or low. This option is not in Graphics section instead it is in Gameplay settings.
  2. Use NVIDIA's game filters from Geforce Experience overlay. Night and day difference when using the sharpening filter.
