It's smooth on Medium settings so far, even within the city areas where there are peds and are in general much more densely packed compared to the Badlands where I began as a Nomad. Also, gameplay hasn't slowed down or there hasn't been any sharp drop in frame rates during gunfights (haven't had much of these yet anyways as I prefer the stealth approach) or driving in the city.

 

However, I have noticed something... certain areas in he missions during close quarter gameplay is a little too dark at times. I mean I understand the gritty atmospheric feel but it this dark is "hard to see" dark and isn't very fun.

1. I am able to get 55 FPS on RTX2060 at Ultra but RT OFF and DLSS Set to Auto. Took some screenshots and noticed I am missing nothing. 

2. Game is buggy as hell. NPCs are disappearing all of a sudden, their props like mobile in hand or suitcase in hand doesn't. Jackie is was shooting without a gun in his hand in the 1st mission.

3. The fact that you can't change your appearance mid game is annoying. Saints Row 3 had this feature.

4. Game runs bad on consoles if internet is to be believed. Game was teased before PS4 was even released.

Oh and one more thing, on Medium settings I don't really like the car textures and paint sheen on cars at all. They look pretty meh. I like the shine on my V's nail polish more. Nice shiny blue and white stripe nails.

 

Oh, and my V is a chick with a nice BIG surprise :devil:

I wanted to change appearance as well but looks like you can't.

 

The world should have been better and more alive. There are no chill activities or shops to visit or customize. They should have added some futuristic saloon/tattoo parlor/vehicle customization/foot shops/banks and more. Currently world is just side jobs and collectibles. NPCs around are useless and sometimes they just walk through you. The crowds have low level of reactivity and awareness to the game world.

Exactly. I expected it to be a First Person RDR2. Sadly it isn't. If there's some gamer who hasn't bought this game yet. I'd say avoid for now.

They can. Will they is a mystery. and it'll take months to fix issues. The launch reminds me of Battlefield 4. An amazing game which was abandoned by majority of playerbase before it could turn into a playable game.

NPCs being dull, empty streets, lack of activities/shops in the city are not mere cosmetic changes. I dont think they care about these (issues) anymore. The basic gameplay is fun , and I guess they will now just optimize the gameplay (on various systems) and iron out bugs.

You have echoed my feelings here precisely. I have been doing side missions and they are okay but the world outside the close quarters in the game is just... boring. This is where Rockstar nails it and here it's just so vanilla. The peds are so boorish and keep repeating their lines as well. There is not a single time I stood and observed anything of interest as I walked around Night City during daytime.The only thing the peds are good at is bumping into V or walking right through (as if -noclip mode is activated!)

Also, the NPC drivers in the game are complete jackasses. If you stop even on the side of a road they somehow stop behind your car and then soon a large number of cars join in. The NPC drivers can't go around your vehicle it seems!

A good reason for this is janky launch on old gen consoles even mid refresh ones. And few bugs and glitches which all reviewers were speaking about non stop in social media. 

 

Despite of these it got the most played SP game at once recorded and to be held one of the best selling game title.
