Collector's Edition too is a letdown after The Witcher 3, which came with a bad a*s hand-painted stone statue. You could bludgeon someone to death with that thing. This just seems like a statue you'd get from any Sony/Ubi collector's edition. Decent but CDP set the bar high with Witcher 3 and this doesn't match it.

Some nice touches and inclusions though. Did an unboxing:

Is there a special Steelbook PC edition as well?

Bro

it’s a broken game on consoles

like totally broken

ppl would obviously want their $60 back

$200m out of those 500 came from PS4/XBone owners

it’s not going to go down so easily as you think

I don’t remember last time a game this state was released

Sony & M$ are also in some huge trouble if you ask me

You know CDPR has done the same with W3 right. When they introduced the game at E3 between retail copy both had day and night difference, it's still available on YouTube. Even then that one game sold so good across all platforms that it made CDPR one of the valued company in gaming industry. It filled their coffers.

That game was one of the prime reason to take me to PC gaming and it was day and night difference between PS4 and PC. Same going on here. On old consoles it runs bad even on mid refresh ones. It's same with multiplats.

@Joe Cool: How are you finding the Hacking puzzles in the game?

Hacking access points? Was confused at first with rows & column pattern but now got very easy.

General hacking stuff is okay. Pretty basic with camera and distractions. Higher level enemies require more RAM but otherwise decent implementation without making it core part of the game. Good option to have for stealth play.

Yes, those Access Points you have to jack into and then play around with digits in rows and columns to hack. I still haven't quite gotten my grasp on them.

Someone on reddit made the list of things wrong with AI

  • No NPC Day/Night cycle. NPCs spawn and despawn outside of the player's view.
  • If an NPC is doing an action, they will do that action forever until the player moves.
  • NPCs that are not story/side quest related have one dialog reply.
  • If one NPC is assaulted, every other NPC in a large circle around the player will crouch to the floor in the same animation, even if they did not see the original assault.
  • NPCs in a car will follow a specific route. If the route is even slightly interupted, for example by your car, they will cease to move forever until you remove the obstruction.
  • NPCs in a car will not attempt to move or exit their vehicle if you assault them with bullets/another vehicle.
  • NPCs will not acknowledge the player if they run the player over with their car.
  • NPCs will not attempt to steal their vehicle back if you steal it from them.
  • NPCs will not attack you or defend themselves in any way or form, even if engaged upon with just fists.
  • Police spawn around the player's vision when the player is wanted, forever, until they attempt to hide or drive away.
  • Police to not attempt to question, warn, or arrest the player for even the smallest crime commited, for example if you bump into them or accidently enter a private area.
  • Police are incapable of driving cars and chasing the player if they drive away.
  • Police will not attack hostile targets like Gangs if they are not already doing so in an activity.
  • Police will know if the player has attacked an NPC in the middle of the badlands and spawn next to the player, without vehicles.
  • NPCs will rarely thank or acknowledge the player if they are helped by the player.
  • Scripted NPCs that have dialog will say their dialog then proceed to stand there forever. They will also repeat the same dialog if the player leaves the area and visits again later.

I have renewed respect for Rockstar's open world games, and heck even Ubisoft games.

Res Bump in Performance mode or given an option of Quality mode like SeriesX running at 30fps?!?

Dunno, probably quality mode added. I'm just playing to see how hilariously bad it gets, like watching a bad movie intentionally.

I'm more worried about the next gen has to offer, if at the onset its being beaten like this by a PC version.  Guess to experience true next gen, one has to get RTX cards :D I dont think we had this kind of massive disparity at the beginning of the prev console cycles , maybe sometime in the mid/towards the end !

Series X folks meanwhile continue to experience doodhwali dot com blurry visuals circa 2003 :giggle:

Lol I am playing this on 1080p and quality mode. It looks okay. Comparatively not that bad. I have yet to see how it looks on 4k HDR.  And that will be possible next week. Although i don’t care much about graphics. I just  hope it looks decent and runs smooth.

The game feels so immersive and natural. I haven’t played any FPS games in years because I can’t play them anymore. I was thinking I may not like this game because it’s entirely made in FPS. But nothing feels like that. The game is meant to be played FPS only for all the vibes. The worlds feels so colourful and stylish. Everything about the game feels so good. The wait and hype was worth it. And I can’t even describe how awesome soundtracks are. Driving is really fun with songs playing in the background.
