Btw it is worth a buy on PC right? I love this futuristic cyberpunk stuff like deus ex or even spess age stuff like ME, basically any futuristic Sci Fi stuff, at this point i'm just looking for a reason not to buy it :P.

There isn't really any futuristic cyberpunk stuff. The city is purely for visuals. The missions and everything play like another action-adventure open world. They even stopped advertising it as RPG and moved to open world action-adventure game now.

Nothing sci-fi in this game. Braindance is half baked stuff (that would explain the lack of BD usage/missions). No futuristic guns or vehicles. No customization. The machines/robots are rarely seen. Most of the places are your typical action location with human enemies moving in set pattern. Driving and vehicles are super disappointing. I just run now till I find fast travel point.

Recently got double jump which is nice as I can jump to higher buildings and play it like Dishonored with dildo in hand.

The usual CDPR story/missions/sides/characters package is there but setting/open-world stuff is rather generic once you look past the visuals (similar to Witcher 3). Also so much trash loot man. Every room has 5-10 icons of trash... Inventory still a mess like W3 as well.

It's 2077. Has to be buzzing with futuristic stuff. Give me flying cars, hoverboards, cool gadgets, locations with people interaction around the world, events, futuristic NPC stores, police chases and not magically showing up behind you, more robots/drones and whatnot in open world and for enemies too. There is so much that can be improved and added. Ugh.

All that said, the game is still very enjoyable. It's fun to mess around and side stuff isn't boring like Ubisoft games yet

This is true. But the retro future aesthetic is not to be missed.

It feels more like vice city to me. The overtly enthusiastic protagonist is also not something I dig. I know why they chose this route though coz story

In the midst of how's the performance and how futuristic is CP2077,people nearly forget to mention how good the story is in this game. Omfg! Moments were witnessed near the end of act 1.

This game needed a proper villain. Unfortunately we don't have that

TBH, I don't think CDPR should get an easy pass for their botch job on last gen consoles just because they are loved by everyone for how consumer friendly they are since this is the most EA like move they have pulled. Imagine the stick people were giving Marvel's Avengers for its performance and bugs on base consoles, compared to this shitshow, that game was absolutely stable . Wont be surprised if Sony and Xbox issue refunds easily since they have done that in past for buggy games.

So they knew how bad base version will perform and still released the game?

Pathetic

Unless you have a 30070 or above, you are screwed even on PC. I've stopped playing it and waiting for 3-4 more patches to make it stable. Its not like i dont have any other games to play. So might as well play it when it is optimized. Already did the mistake of finishing Miles Morales on 4K 30fps RT mode only for Insomniac to release a 4K60 FPS RT mode :ranting:

Regarding the complaints about the world not being reactive, it's important to recognise the game as an RPG set in an open world rather than an open world game. This is exactly like any other RPG out there incl Witcher 3 which everyone loves.

What does being an RPG have to do with the world being reactive? Tons of RPGs have reactive worlds. Did you see the World of Divinity? Pinnacle of NOC reaction - even more than many actual city settings. Heck, even in Witcher 3, NPCs followed a routine if you observed. I did in Skellige (it was wonderful actually). They would go to sleep at night, come out at crack of dawn, women would hang the washing, men would sit and smoke pipes, then if they had work - they would get to it. NPCs did not pop up and disappear like here.

Also, WItcher was set in a World. CP is set in 1 city. When you are set in 1 city - you have to give tons of activities in that 1 city as well. Something that's sorely lacking atm.

Overall, what I feel till now:

Game is good, story and all is good - but Witcher 3 quality, this isn't. I doubt CP 2077 is going into any legendary lists like Witcher 3 did. There needs to be far more stuff to do, the fact that it's a Cyberpunk and you can't customize vehicles is shameful, as is the fact that you can't re-customize your character. City "exists" but as a template. This need not even be CP, most probably with the content - you can have it set in modern or sci-fi and still have the game.

Visuals are great (Can get around 45 fps Ultra at 1440p in my PC). But that's about it. Certainly, not a game people have been dying for for 8 years now.

Will play more and hope my opinion changes.

(Who knows) maybe they pressurised CDPR into rushing this release.

This is one instance where Developer (CDPR) had power over the console owner (Sony/MS). Other cases include devs like Rockstar. In other words - too big for platform owners to refuse.

I doubt CDPR could delay the game any more. They had to keep paying all these years, but there will be no major pay-day and cost recovery till release. They started with development on PS4/X1 - but vision kept on expanding till those platforms could not handle it anymore. And yet, they could not refuse the sweet 200 million userbase.

Neither could Sony/MS deny them. What will they announce - Cyberpunk will not come to our existing system anymore (And PS5/XSX is lottery so only 0.1% has it, so everyone will need a high end PC). They will have tons of curses heaped on them.

This one is kind of on CDPR for not setting up realistic goals and maintaining them - instead promising the moon, finding out it's impossible and cutting down on a lot of the stuff, having employee troubles and in the end giving up and releasing it in "if it works - it works, we'll see the rest later" mode.

I kinda agree with him here.
