Every game with artificial difficulty has this except DS games.

Higher difficulty = more HP/resistance and you take more damage. ?? The challenge basically comes from your management and survival.

No this has very borderlands vibes, the damage numbers, bullet sponge enemies, multi colored( very bright colored ) special guns, certain buildings also.

I think the Adam Jensen Dude,Secks games were also technically RPGs, but the enemies weren't bullet sponge like this.

Then again both of those DX games force you to be a vent crawling non-lethal weapon using Gandhi.

This meanwhile is a very killing friendly game.

One guy in this thread saying stealth is very hard in this game and all, but I found it refreshing that there is no forced vent crawling or non-lethal is best bs involved.

That sums up pretty much every modern open world game to be fair. These days any game with some variety in weapons and has skills automatically adds numbers/colors/bullet sponge.

Deus Ex is different breed. Shame it isn't there anymore but at the same time feel like next Deus Ex will be very modernized and derped down.

Stealth is rewarding in terms of personal satisfaction. The game itself doesn't reward you very much if you don't kill/go stealth which is nice as this is not stealth designed game. Nothing forced.

Enemies in this game are such bullet sponges... I mean some of them, no matter how much lead you fill them with... just don't fall! Is this a bug as well because there is no way in hell someone can stand with so many bullets fired at him no matter what implants he has!

Have you played The Division. That was like the father of bullet sponge enemies in a game.

I think this game has great "genes". I am sure everything will get fixed/patched eventually.

Reminds me of fallout 4's launch- was buggy, unfinished, ruthlessly trolled, review bombed and people in general, hated it. Now it has 10/10 on steam. Remembered as a very underappreciated game.

Once everything gets fixed, it'll be a ride to remember. I mean the story and the presentation is absof**kinlutely amazing. People are underestimating the scale of verticality present in the game. It is relatively easier to process and render environments like forests, farms, small towns etc. Night City is something else entirely. Plus the mechanics they have tried to employ are unparalleled. I would say the game plays like Deus Ex on steroids.

I think we should be a tad patient with this. Let them roll out patches and fix issues/bugs. They might add elements popularly demanded by gamers as well (better NPCs, livelier city, better police etc) eventually. CDPR wont let us down. We are witnessing a WIP  title, which has the potential for becoming one of the greats of this generation (9th gen), if not this decade.

Enemies with skull icon are super tanky. Need to level up character before taking them down else trigger forever.

No issues with non-skull icon enemies (not counting special enemies like Cyberpsychos).

Yes, they are proper tanks! Like they literally eat bullets for breakfast

Also, Joe... what are these side jobs exactly because they don't show up in your Journal under Side Jobs but only show up as exclamation mark icons on the map:

Vanilla Destiny where it literally takes 30 mins of headshots by 3 people with the most powerful sniper rifle to take down one of the strike bosses.

I don’t get it

Ppl say this is an RPG so don’t compare it to the immersive essence of linear open world games

Then ppl say it is NOT!! an RPG & that tag line has been removed by the developer so don’t compare it to the wast variety of choices & character building of RPG games

Then ppl say it is an RPG!! so every enemy has a level & depending on your!! level will react or die on damage done

Then ppl say it is NOT!! an RPG!! so don’t expect it to be as long & meaty as those games

I mean WTF!!

Just your standard open world game with some RPG elements. This is not a long game. Story is only ~20 hours.

They didn't want to make it too long because they found many people didn't finish Witcher 3 as they found it too long.

We thought a lot of things but only they knew what they wanted, or may be they didn't....

I think we need to get over this game quickly. Good thing is that many of us dodged this bullet.

3500 for on this, could have been spent  in 100 better ways.

I hope PS5 launches here before GTA5 next-gen upgrade, so I can pay proper tribute to king of open-world games by triple-dipping.

Thank-you for the heads up Joe!

So basically, the side jobs that automatically get lined up in the Journal are the real ones worth delving into.

Yeah, these side goes under mobiles mission I think. Open phone -> view messages. Lots of them there. ?

I remember when they said "Every Cyberpunk 2077 quest will be handcrafted"

There will be no procedurally generated 'radiant' quests, the game's quest coordinator assures.

Another lie.

You want a refund because of bugs or not liking the game ?!?

Bugs mainly. I can't say the game is broken but it could have been a lot better. I stopped playing it and if I don't get a refund, will play after the Jan and feb patches come out.

From the link you shared:

That's according to quest design coordinator Philipp Weber, who recently answered a bunch of questions in the CD Projekt Red forums. "Every quest in the game is handcrafted," he wrote. "For us, quality is always more important than quantity, and we just couldn’t deliver this quality with modules we assemble in different ways to create these random quests. We don’t just want to keep people busy, but actually give them something to do that’s worth their while."

Jesus! And yet the number of exclamation points and Radiant Quests clutter the map up like snails in a fish tank! Oh the layers of lies from CDPR.

Game is very good when everything works but shame about the buggy broken launch. I hope they fix it completely so people can give it a chance and see before comparing to other open world games without playing.
