Has anyone been keeping up with the patch notes? Is this game playable now? It's only a couple of months away from 1 year anniversary of the release.

 

Was hoping to start playing by this time.

On PC, yeah. No idea about consoles and next-gen patch isn't out either.

they teased some expected changes for patch 1.3 i think just today or yesterday. But its so inconsequential that it would be better had they just shut up. I think it would be best if the just shut up and launch the next gen upgrade and not release garbage in between. Let the free DLC come out with the next gen upgrade.  I mean Even if they release these notes just to keep people assured that they haven abandoned the game, a better way is to release a periodic statement saying they are working and plan to release the next version soon.

It was playable even many months ago when i completed 1 ending.

on PC ofc.

And i don't even have a balling 2 lakhs PC or anything.

 

It gets choppy fps wise when in the proper city with lots of cars and NPCs and all, but then I have an ancient poor man's 4 core i5, modern CPUs won't have this issue I think.

 

Also compared to other people on YT making out 10 min vidoes about le bugs and le glitches the only one i got where V T-poses on top of the bike and shows his Impressive Murga

Rest the game was ok in terms of no bugs/glitches, nothing out of place.

1.3 patch notes

 

A list of all the free DLCs can be found in the Main Menu under "Additional Content"

 

1. Johnny Silverhand's Alternative Appearance – can be enabled in Settings in the "Additional Content" tab.
2. Multilayered Syn-Leather Deltajock Jacket, Luminescent Punk Jacket - both available in the stash in V's apartment after receiving a message from Viktor after completing The Ride. They're of Rare/Iconic quality by default, Crafting Specs to craft a higher quality will also be unlocked.
3. Archer Quartz "Bandit" - available as a reward or for purchase (depending on choices made by player) after completing Ghost Town and then receiving a message from Dakota or Rogue. If you haven't received the message, make sure to be in the Badlands area and move further away from Dakota's workshop. Dakota will also need a couple of days to contact you.

Huge list of changes. Quite the ambitious patch. If this is the free DLC though, then its kinda disappointing. Only thing left to do is to wait for the next gen upgrade.

1.1 - stop game from crashing often

1.2 - fix quest breaking bugs and make it more playable

1.3 - fix other visual, UI, behavior bugs

 

This will take some more time. Lots of platform talk that boils down to XBOX and PS4 can't handle the game.

Woah that's a pretty steep list. I'm in act 3, not sure how much of those would help me, it would be good if they had made the world some more interactive .... I'm just moving from quest to quest, without actually fooling around in the in-game world as there're hardly any interesting activities to partake in.  Not something ppl would expect from a open world game !

Just ordered the PS4 version, let's see how it turns out.

Put in about 20 hours. This is a fun, interesting game, some nice story moments, but nothing that will blow you away. The actual missions are great, the side quests are long and some are fantastic, and even the gigs can take place in parts of the city you didn't even know existed after spending hours there. They should have beefed up the combat or stealth since thats most of the game: that loop gets repetitive after a while. 

I think people hyped themselves up thinking this was going to be GTA or Elder Scrolls in the future and they would get to live in the world the way they do in those games: explore, find secrets, have relationships. But the open world is closer to something like Far Cry of GOT, a passive playground that exists between missions. Could have been much better, but fun game anyway and no crashes on the PS5.
