spindoctor Posted November 4, 2012 Report Share Posted November 4, 2012 it occurs to me that the autolog is kind of moot with rubberbanding. was doing most wanted race no. 8 and i lost by a few metres. autolog showed that i had beaten someone's time by something like 20 seconds. same race, i was 20 seconds faster and yet they won their race while i lost mine. that kind of pulls back the curtain of illusion like nothing else. likewise, i seem to remember spending a lot of time with hot pursuit 2010 trying to beat friends' autolog scores. that game had rubberbanding too, but it was nowhere as aggressive as it seems to be in this one. i see autolog alerts of someone beating my time somewhere and i'm not motivated to try and beat them again because of this. Â i understand why rubberbanding exists in these games but man it should not make actual racing completely pointless. that's what has happened in this game. nothing at all matters except the last 10% of a race. maybe they could have implemented an option where you can disable rubberbanding and just set the ai to hardest. that way people who don't want it can play like that. i think the game would have been better for it. I had to turn off whatever could be turned off and set everything else to LOW to get 60 FPS at 1280x800. what the *bleep*??!! Â I don't know if the 1.2 GB patch fixes anything coz my net is acting up and I didn't update. On top of that signing up for Origin was an exercise in frustration itself. Django_3101 Posted November 5, 2012 Report Share Posted November 5, 2012 i'm trying to get those re-inflatable tyres for the gallardo but i gotta come 3rd place in all 5 race events :|  shut down 4 most wanted cars so far ....trying to shut down the 5th one but there are too many spike strips in that race  Koldy, as spinny said if you are 1st in any race, items for 2nd and 3rd positions will also be unlocked automatically. Also started Win 8 upgrade morning, no idea what'll be the state. Â Also, I had to drop down the res from 1920x1080 to get some decent framerates. The 5650 is showing it's age, I guess.
