Game is strictly for hardcore fans only.

LOL :giggle:

game is so noob friendly with the new snipers, new burshka or whatever the name is, trip wire torque

the hardcore fans of gears franchise do not like how this is going in the route of COD

let the hype die down, 1 month this game will be selling all over at half price

Well , I'm just getting it for the namesake. it went down the drain in MP from GoW2 tbh with the introduction of stopping power. The funny and ironic thing is these guys taking out stopping power straight out of CoD and poking fun at them with that Bulletstorm viral campaign named Duty Sucks or something. Some of the hardcores from the original still play though , ONLY because of the name. Sure the Breechshot/Markza and the Booshka are a n00bfest ( with the Markza doesn't even requiring an active for a headshot , when it's semi-auto , meaning you fire four of the rounds b2b2b2b and get four on-screen shots without an active  ) but the tripwire crossbow will be a good addition imo for objective gametypes. Take a 170-160 situation in a round of annex/koth for example and get the TWCrossbow with well placed trips. It would be a balanced mayhem. I say balanced because it's a main weapon slot and it's two handed , the advantage being the range at which you can't frag plant.

How is MP? More precisely, how is the matchmaking?

Well, its hard to say because most people don't have the game yet. Worldwide release is tomorrow (India too).

But it seems US retailers are selling the game already and today I could find a few full lobbies for team DM and Overrun.

MP is fun, but again, shotgun rules all (unless you're a psyco like Umang with his torque bow). Its way overpowered.

Overrun is nice. Its good fun running into enemies all jihadi and blowing up. Horde mode is gone, and there's a survival mode instead, which is just a lazy copy-paste of Overrun with the addition of waves.

So, it is just like old times. I was expecting a CoD-ified version of Gears 3. thanks for the input. Will probably pick it off tp now.

Gears of War: Judgment Review: Apocalypse Now | Polygon

8/10

"As a side-experiment with class-based multiplayer and more aggressively

arcade-influenced shooting, Gears of War: Judgment doesn't feel

essential in the same way its predecessors did. If three games in five

years left you with your fill of Gears of War, Judgment may not be

enough to change your mind. But as a well-executed supplement to its

parent series, Gears of War: Judgment is easy to recommend. People Can

Fly have added enough cool new bits to make the game feel fresh, even if

they're not re-inventing the series

Gears of War: Judgment Review | OXM UK

The biggest compliment I can pay Judgment is that it feels like a game

born of a distinct philosophy, rather than something snapped together

last-minute from old parts to hold the fort while Epic's next-generation

projects take shape. Both its strengths and its weaknesses are the

result of a vision of how the experience of slaughtering tunnel-loving

bogeymen should be, and while the results aren't as spectacular or

generous as we're used to, they put up a damn good fight. As regards

that charge of franchise fatigue, Epic and People Can Fly have earned

this series a comfortable reprieve

4.5/5

Whether it's multiplayer or single-player, Gears of War: Judgment
proves that, for all of the series' trademark spectacle and flair, it
all boils down to executing simple combat concepts well. A diligent
approach to ensuring that no two encounters are the same keeps it from
ever feeling stagnant or like a waste of your time. You're always
moving, constantly pushing through the next enemy stronghold, never sure
of what you'll face, and it's always harrowing.

Bringing People
Can Fly in was a good choice, because the developer has managed to make
fighting the Locust feel dangerous and new again, despite this being my
fourth trip to Sera.

Acc to Kotaku - If you are buying the game for S.P alone then it's not worth buying coz it's not as good as previous games but if you like Gears M.P then you should definitely buy it.....

Gears of War: Judgment tells the story of a squad that refuses to do
things by the book, but while it risks a certain amount of backlash from
fans that balk at its minor changes, this soldier is content to operate
within established parameters and focus on doing his job, one
twenty-minute-or-so mission at a time. It’s solid, it’s capable, it fits
with the identity of the series. In short, it’s Gears.

Gears of War: Judgment Review | Giant Bomb

3/5

Gears of War: Judgment is not a bad game, but one that very much
stands in the shadow of its more illustrious predecessors. It is a bit
like going back to a favorite restaurant, only to find that the
management has changed and it's just not quite the same anymore...Sure,
you'll still have a pretty decent meal, but you'll also leave yearning
for days gone by

Eurogamer - 8/10

some quotes

Gears of War: Judgment is a third-person shooter. That may seem like
stating the obvious, but it's perhaps the game's most refreshing aspect.
We've been bombarded with increasingly top-heavy blockbuster games as
this elongated hardware generation wheezes along, but Judgment suffers
from none of the feature creep that has weighed down the likes of
Assassin's Creed, Dead Space and Tomb Raider.

Even with the pall of over-familiarity lingering over it, Gears of War:
Judgment is a timely reminder that ruthless focus on gameplay,
generosity towards players and good old-fashioned design craft can still
pay dividends at a time when big-budget action games are at risk of
fragmenting into splinters of mindless busywork. Sometimes, being a
bloody good shooter is all that's required."

Campaign is literally like Horde mode with some useless dialogue between waves. Still fun if played in co-op.

To counter the shotgun you need to use Retro lancer
If it's in this game!?

Retro Lancer is in the game. Didn't check if it was in MP though. Went with the Lancer at first and then moves to Gnasher Shotgun.
