From GS Review:

Just as Splinter Cell: Conviction represented a metamorphosis for the stealth series, so too does Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist. Blacklist nudges Sam further into action-hero territory.

Perhaps it's appropriate, then, that Sam Fisher's presence isn't as commanding as it's been in the past, in part due to the replacement of longtime Fisher actor Michael Ironside. New actor Eric Johnson does a creditable job as Sam, though he doesn't possess Ironside's gravel-throated urgency.

When Blacklist imposes restrictions or new rules, it loses momentum and focus; it's when you are given full use of your toolbox, and a carefully constructed playground, that it soars.

It's with other players that Blacklist comes into its own, centered as its cooperative maps are on careful and intelligent progression rather than scripted action-movie events.

From EG Review:

Ubisoft's efforts to make Splinter Cell more broadly accessible are obvious from the structural changes it has made and the game's emphasis on a cinematic story, but the developer also wants hardcore fans of the game to enjoy it, so there are tougher difficulty settings available.

When Splinter Cell Blacklist is like this, it's brilliant - a great fusion of cinematic storytelling and expressive gameplay systems in a cool location. But this is a hard balance to maintain. Too often in the campaign, Blacklist feels like it's being pulled in two directions at once, and only one of them is a place you'll want to go.

It's a shame, that the weak story exerts such a strong pull on proceedings, because it's often to the detriment of these strengths. Before you can even access the game menus, you're forced to play through a scripted pre-credits sequence that sets up the story and installs Shepard, I mean Fisher, on the Paladin with his colleagues.

Then in the first mission proper, where you creep around using the harsh shadows of Benghazi to learn the mechanics and how to have fun with them, the game can't wait to break its own rules and tear you out of your flow with a scripted sequence.

Yup, I was looking for the negative points. And I am disappointed. I hate this cinematic story BS :|

BTW both the reviewers liked co-op and SvM modes. I was only going to play the Campaign, which isn't good according to most reviews. I think I will skip it and play later when price drops.

IGN giving 9+ to almost every well known AAA Games! Seems they are playing pretty safe.

On Scores: 83 on Meta (360), 86 (PC). Seems a decent score and a one time play! However score wise Conviction was better.

We all know how amazing that game was. -_-

 If utter sh*t like Conviction got more scores than this, then there is no hope for this title.

Yeah.. :D

That Game was so amazing that I almost lost faith in Sam Fisher and UBI!

I'm really in two minds weather to buy or not to buy

Is anyone buying this on PSN or XBL for co-op or mp?!

Batman will come soon & I have a feeling that mp will kill this one

Wait for Batman. Get this when it's free on PS+ (hopefully). :P
