Maybe they are taking the game seriously now. Hope for the best.

Not happening. Remember Conviction being praised by Edge and every major publisher in the lines of " towards greatness " ? It's laughable but sells , 2M copies though on 2 platforms isn't a joke and the irony being SCC was done entirely by Montreal without even outsource from Shanghai IIRC.

The series was buried after Pandora Tomorrow , to an extent CT , and DA on the Xbox which montreal did. It's like Biohazard since 4 , and I don't even wanna start on these guys from Toronto. Jade even with Beland can be nothing more than pawns of the powers that be.

and did you get to read this ?

http://www.videogamer.com/xbox360/splinter_cell_blacklist/news/ubisoft_montreal_and_shanghai_also_working_on_splinter_cell_blacklist.html

According to Ubisoft, Montreal, who created the original Splinter Cell, is "collaborating closely with Toronto on the game's multiplayer modes".

Meanwhile, Ubisoft Shanghai, who led development on Splinter Cell: Double Agent, "is responsible for the game's co-op mode".

Talk about some nostalgic trolling

I'll end up buying this just to troll hard on that realistic or w/e the mode they have this time around , tripping off every alarm I can on the way in SP and in co-op

I think Chaos Theory was the best of the bunch, played on my PC. :fear:

Looks fine except for that automatic shooting feature. Then again, I haven't played any SC game except Conviction.

You should try Chaos Theory to realize what Splinter Cell was prior to turning into MARK 1... MARK 2... MARK 3... 'press hot-key'... PLINK... PLINK... PLINK.

Although the new trailer raises hopes that we might be able to play like a stealth third-person shooter rather than ERMAHGERD! BUN DISS PLERS DUN.

For Chaos Theory fans

In realistic difficulty mark & execute will not work (tough u can mark) also sonar goggles will not be functional....also you will have limited bullets..i guess that what Chaos Theory fans wanted...right ?

Are there any other modes to the goggles, like Thermal signature and such?

Let the game out and if it plays like Chaos Theory you will hear platitudes from me. If no, well you know who I am.

Hoping for the best, Cheerio!

To my knowledge you get only Night vision goggles & Sonar goggles

you will get the best SC game ever....same levels are designed to be played in both ways...serious stealth or u go gun blazing. If u take the serious stealth way in realistic mode...thats the ultimate salute to Chaos Theory

Splinter title shouldn't give options. Stealth must be the only option. Giving many options work fine in an RPG type game like Deus Ex but not in games like SC. The only good thing I found in the new video is graphics.

Options are always welcome as long as the game does not segue into another Conviction style MESS.

This is supposed to be a stealthy hush-hush thing but Sam does not have his gadgets so try to make do with the horrible shooting mechanics + terrible stealth system that makes it moot whether you have played the previous games OR not. Understand the core agencies of Splinter Cell OR are looking for another 'shooter'.
