Ubisoft delaying a game, Wow!!

GTA V spooked them.

Why extra time to improve it's visuals and it's gameplay to smoother experience now,

it means the game wasn't complete from the beginning.

Next-gen buy if PS4 releases early.

Ubisoft revises financial forecast in light of game delays

Ubisoft announced delays for two of its biggest upcoming games today: Watch_Dogs and The Crew. As a result, the company has revised its financial forecast, with a loss now expected for the 2013-14 fiscal year.

Watch Dogs and The Crew, previously planned for release in fiscal year 2013-14, are now scheduled for 2014-15. The revision of targets for 2013-14 is principally a reflection of these changes. The Company now targets sales of between €995 million and €1,045 million and a non-IFRS operating loss of between €(70) million and €(40) million. Prior targets were sales of between €1,420 million and €1,450 million and non-IFRS operating income of between €110 million and €125 million.

The Company also provided initial Non-IFRS operating income targets of at least €150 million for 2014-15 and at least €200 million for 2015-16.

"Our long term goal is to win the next generation. The tough decisions we are taking today to fully realize the major potential of our new creations have an impact on our short-term performance. We are convinced that, longer term, they will prove to be the right decisions both in terms of satisfaction for our fans and in terms of value creation for our shareholders. We are building franchises that will become perennial pillars of Ubisoft’s financial performance. In a context of growing successes for mega-blockbusters, the additional time given to the development of our titles will allow them to fulfill their huge ambitions and thus offer players even more exceptional experiences” stated Ubisoft co-founder and CEO Yves Guillemot.

He concluded “Fueled by strong momentum for PlayStation 4 and XboxOne, calendar 2014 will see the return of growth to the console market. Combined with the quality of our line-up and our strong financial situation, this growth will allow us to achieve record operating income in fiscal 2014-15 and 2015-16."

  • 3 weeks later...

GRAB IT BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE.

http://shop.ubi.com/NVIDIAWD

Product Name: Watch_Dogs - Special Edition

Platform: PC (Pre-Ordered)

Quantity ordered: 1

Total: 49.99 rubles = $1.5 USD

Were you able to grab it? I don't see a way to do this unless I'm in Russia myself. It seems to show 49.99/59.99 in the country's store's currency. Would buying it with a VPN work?

Yes, purchased both :D

Used VPN (can use simple proxy too) - click on the links I gave (both), then remove whichever game (if you don't want).

On top right corner you'll see "show currency (something like that) in :EUR.

Select RUB from list.

Price will chance from €49.99 to 49.99PУ (Russian Rubble) ~ $1.5 USD. :P

Create new account or login to existing out, checkout using CC or Webmoney (if you have).

Details: Google or random xyz.

Pay.

You'll get confirmation e-mail. Keep it.

They will send you key and installer when game is released.

EDIT: Price symbol is bugged. You can use any country currency which is cheap. Polish costs around 15 Euro, Russian $1.5, etc.

EDIT 2: You can use Tor browser if you don't have proxy/VPN.

However, though it's been charged to my card, it looks like it doesn't show up on my shop.ubi.com account (I'm not using the proxy).

I have a feeling they'll just cancel it soon enough when enough people exploit it. It's on a NeoGAF thread (though not on its own thread).

Correct, not wait for the game to release. :)

Na, they won't cancel. Last the their was code glitch which game full game for free, yet they processed.

Well some Russian guy is gonna have fun with my credit card then :giggle: I've changed my Uplay login and such and I keep a close eye on my bank accounts and I won't lose anything anyway. Still a mistake to have used a proxy instead of a proper VPN with CC details.

Let's see if they'll honor this. Till now I've only seen a couple mentions of this deal on 2 pages of a thread on NeoGAF and one short thread on SteamGifts. As long as too many people don't take advantage of it. :fear:
