Right
Ok so I have an Windows Live account abc@xyz.com, which I have been using since 2003. I use it for Live messenger account and for xbox live. Problem is that I no longer have access to the email account, I stopped bothering once gmail arrived and then the account got defunct. Now, due to recent policy changes in Live, I am sure it's quite recent cuz I didn't notice this back in May, I am not able to access the Xbox account settings since the computer I use (at work/home) is not listed as "Trusted". To add a computer to Trusted list, it has to send a verification email to the id, the one I don't have access to anymore. And for the same reason I can't add a new email address. So its pretty effed up now. There is another thing called 'clear security settings' but I am not completely sure if thats safe and will not lock down the account. Should I call CC or there is any easy way around?

They want me to somehow activate the account I lost the access to. :|

Choron ka raja
same issue here, and yes there ain't a solution. only way out is to create new live id, and tag it to xbl. go to account.live.com, and add new email. at least you will get to access promotional material, on your new email. Choron ka raja
I wont do that like ever. Going to GAF about this. Yeah, like GAF has a solution for it. It is cuz of dumb account policy by MS, and there ain't much, you can do about it. Although if you have phone or something else added, it might have worked.
