Yea..Thats y you have to deactivate... It can be used in only 2 PS3's...If you dont deactivate and the PS3 dies , your account will be stuck in that PS3 forever.. Its an EU 40GB PS3 fat (2007 model). You could take it to Ritchie Street. Ask for Moosa Games Center, and people will give you directions. They offer reliable service there. Looks like the problem I was facing was with games downloaded from the PS Store to the HDD..... I remember playing Castlevania: Lords of Shadow (Disc version) a few days ago and I recollect now that it never crashed as well.... I'm kinda confused now.... If its YLOD then it'll eventually happen...After i got the problem i could play few games and could'nt play few... Anywayz GTA does take lot of processing power , so if its working fine , it may not be overheating... If it happens again few time , just deactivate all acounts and get it replaced.. babj1 Posted October 7, 2013 Report Share Posted October 7, 2013 I was facing the same problem....it's kinda weird....if i keep it off for couple of days then start AC 3 then during the initial screen (boot screen) it'll shut down for the first time...but if i restart it, it'll again start without any problem....agreed i dont stretch the gaming bit for more than 3 hours...but if i play everyday it'll not give any problem....i know it'll die sooner/later but the question is when??? It took around 2 or 3 months for my PS3 to die..Infact it dint die..If i kept trying it used to switch on and i could play for 5 mins or so... Not sure if you can back up using your laptop..U cant backup games...Try it and check if you can back up other media... U can use same hdd for slim and superslim... I think even fo PS4..
