You worship the ground Nolan walks on? Fine, but I thought the movie was a piece of sht and there's nothing you can say that can convince me otherwise. Look at the comments in that article too. He was wearing lifts to be on the same height level as bale and caine. And somebody did asked how come Policman didn grow facial hair.. The scene is set in some remote part of the former Soviet Russia. The plane used by CIA could have been a simple prop-jet for hire, without the fancy gadgetry that CIA would normally have access to. Besides, it was a stealth mission, hence the need to switch of any kind of active radar that would have identified the other plane but would have given away their location too. Also, the CIA plane was just about skimming the mountains. I wonder if an active radar would have actually worked or would have gone haywire because of the topography. 2) The C.I.A lets people on the plane without checking their faces. Wut? That was indeed stupid. The novel portrays the scene as the CIA operative being excited at getting his hands on Bane's people and in his hurry to get out of the place, does not bother to check under the hood. 3) What if Bane had been shot first? The first mercenary is not shot. The CIA guy shoots out of the cargo-door, and then the mercenary is clubbed to silence him, making it look like he was shot and thrown over-board. Hence the dialog by Bane, "Maybe he is wondering why would one shoot him and THEN throw him out of a plane?". 4) Staging the crash. With forensic evidence and aeronautical analysis, the government could easily determine that the aircraft was attacked. Assuming there is a functioning government. The extraction was done in the midst of a major conflict, which is why the scientist was trying to escape. There might not a functioning department to look into crashed planes.
