He'll ask for order number to check status, that's it. You will have little high ping, that's it. Once game is released, you can play without vpn. So, it's just for a day or 2. Phew.. scared me properly.. of course playing on VPN will result in lag. As far as i know everyone is using VPN only to order or download. But I think I will hold off on buying the game for now. On my origin client BF4 shows preload- oct 29. playable november-1. now thats cuz that is the indian release date i believe. so what you guys are doing now is preload the game by changing proxy again? from which region? also, when does the game become playable if i preload and play by using a proxy of the said region? oct 29 playable? lastly, cant i just change proxy in the browser and access origin via browser and start the preload? or do i have to change proxy and go via origin client? This is the reason, I like the approach of Gorilla Games with Killzone. Everything is unlocked from the get go. Then it levels up the playing field. Retail - 3499 INR/ 3999 INR (standard/deluxe). 2) Premium is more like season pass. It contains 5 DLC packs and some premium goodies like dog tags etc. You can skip this if you don't want dlc or buy DLC separately later. 3) Deluxe contains 3 Gold Battlepacks and Vehicle Shortcut Bundle for Battlefield 3. Not worth $10, because you get Battlepacks by leveling up and Vehicle shortcut is for BF3, so meh. 4) Yea, why not. Play few hours (2XP going on) and learn about BF3. Price is almost equal if you purchase from India, retail (physical) copy and digital. In-fact if you purchase locally, it is more sensible to go with the retail copy. Also, what's the deal with "premium" battlefield thing. If you are talking about getting the BattleField Premium pack, you get access to all future DLC. Think of it as glorified way of saying a Season Pass. If this is w.r.t. the Pre-order copies of the game, Pay more to get a Steelbook in the physical copy along with three Battle-packs from the get go. This is the DELUXE. Same deal with digital copy minus the Steelbook. Standard edition bags you the plastic jewel case without Battle-packs. You get China Rising DLC with both. After conversion you can get the base version of the game for ~2500/- and with the Premium (Season Pass) you get the whole game for ~4400/-. And pay Gabe to actually go like this to the EA HQ and raise some hell FUNNY UPDATE : The game has disappeared from My Games list. Order is now "completed" (but in details, the game and premium both are cancelled" where earlier it said "pre-order"). I presumed that order is genuinely cancelled, and was thinking of buying the game again. B b but... EA advisor just told me that game is still in my account (valid point coz I did not receive any cancellation email). Apparently I should wait until release date and if it still doesn't reappear then I should chat with them again. I am holding off the temptation to purchase again coz the original order just might re-appear and cost me twice. Which is probably EA's plan all along.
