Major FPS drops on Seige Of Shanghai and Flood Zone. Switching off Vsync removes any fps drops but then the screen tearing in unbearable. No one else on the PC faces FPS drops or stuttering? Or have you guys just come to terms with it? No random frame rate drops. Not on Flood Zone, no. Siege of Shanghai is terrible the moment the central tower goes down but stabilises soon after. Second Assault is surprisingly robust here, even with all the fires on Op Firestorm, no stuttering or frame issues. Not using V-Sync. Try to run the game with the MANTLE Renderer and see if the issue persists. Can anybody explain how "skill" stat works? Sometimes I have 1-2 K/D but I end up having negative skill and sometimes I have 0.2-0.5 K/D but get + positive skill. =/ Is like this, Also, total pain to unlock the FN2000. I don't know how it looked earlier but right now it is really harsh on my eyes. Apart from that, really unorthodox map layout. Caspian Border was thee best map in BF3. Or have you guys just come to terms with it? It did for me too. Running FRAPS it turned out the game's frame rate was going from 35-90 and everywhere in between. So for example everytime it went from something like 60 FPS to 40FPS it would go apeshit. So I locked it down to 40 FPS and its been MUCH smoother since then. No guaranteed fix but its worth trying if its driving you insane. Could also be just your rig. Friend of mine gets constant stutter but his CPU is pretty weak. Big, orange-y and the tower at D is the first thing to fall once the server is up. They simply haven't put in enough effort at besting original Caspian border ,leave alone using pragmatic graphic designing techniques to give the map a better touch. There is a bug on the PC where half the map is blacked out. I find it sad though that even after the sand storm kicks in, the mini-map works fine. If they could have affected the functioning along with the reduced spot capability, it would have made for some excellent close-combat chaos. That would've been a step up to the original BF3 maps. Dynamic time implementation is a much more arduous process. The lighting system would need major work. Rain affect is there on maps like Paracel Storm, although I never feels like it until it gets all dark and it kicks up a notch. Rain effect was present in Grand Baazar as well and it made the map look really good.Gave a overall filter of smoothness to the map.A Velvet touch that some of this barren maps badly need. In-fact, the more I play Second Assault maps, the more I appreciate them for their level-design (save that cluster-Fakk METRO). Its only this damned game! Also the bloody Vsync. With Vsync off I run at highest settings without any drops. Limiting to 40fps is like an anti-solution... as to remove frame drops you are basically limiting urself to a permanently dropped frame rate. But I can imagine that it can atleast give a smooth if not the perfect experience. Cant even force Vsync via D3doverider(it works wonders for AC3) cuz BF4 doesnt like it. Nah! (It actually works but causes a different bigger problem.. so cant use it) Thing is, Vsync is the culprit. With it off everything is sexy even on Ultra with full AA and Hbao. What I meant was the wind movements & the environment effect look very natural on paracel While in Oman it looks weird & buggy I don't know yaar, can you share a recording of it? KiranB28 Posted February 21, 2014 Report Share Posted February 21, 2014 Finally unlocked the F2000 and Gol Mag. Both were a pain to unlock, but glad it's done with. Also unlocked the Dao (shotgun) on my first try - very easy assignment in comparison. The F2000 seems underpowered and nearly useless in front of the AEK or ACE23. Useless beyond 50m but fun for CQB. The Dao's style and animations itself are fantastic The Gol Mag... seems fine, haven't used it enough yet I guess.
