Heaven Angel
Naval Strike will be DICE's last Battlefield 4 content, with the final two expansions being handled by DICE LA In a post on r/Battlefield4, the developer revealed that the game's final two DLC packs, Dragon's Teeth and Final Stand, are being handled by DICE LA. Personally, after DICE's many dinosaur teases, I'm hoping a missed memo will lead to the US-based studio accidentally adding real dragons into the game's fourth expansion. It's about time the military FPS genre took on some giant lizards, be they historical or mythological. DICE LA were previously responsible for Battlefield 4's Second Assault DLC, which remade some of BF3's maps for the new game. They were formed partially from the ashes of Medal of Honor developer Danger Close. As for the daddy DICE, it's unclear what they'll be moving onto. http://www.pcgamer.com/2014/03/03/battlefield-4s-final-two-dlc-packs-will-be-developed-by-dice-la

Heaven Angel
What we are Fixing or Investigating: http://blogs.battlefield.com/2014/03/addressing-netcode-in-bf4/ Rubber bandingWe have made several server optimizations that have decreased rubber banding for some players. To further address the issue, there are upcoming fixes for packet loss and a customize screen bug, both connected to the rubber banding issue. Furthermore, we will continue to collect data to pinpoint exactly when and why rubber banding is occurring.Kill camera delay / Player death syncOn some occasions, the kill camera would trigger before the game client displayed the last portion of damage being dealt, giving players the impression that they died too early. There were also issues with blood effects, damage indicators, and the health bar in the HUD being out of sync. A fix for this will be included in the next game update.TickratePlayers have been asking whether the tickrate – how often the server will update the game world – in Battlefield 4 will be higher in the future. Though we haven’t got any immediate plans to increase the tickrate at this moment, we are exploring the possibilities of raising the tickrate on specific servers. No registered damageWe are aware of the bug where players have been firing at their opponent and not doing damage. In the February 13 game update for PC, we added a piece of code that enables us to specifically track instances where this would occur. We are currently looking at when this issue is triggered, and what causes it. The data that we receive will help us to further improve the firefights in the future.Instant death while sprintingAt certain occasions while walking or sprinting, a player could get catapulted at high speed which would cause death if any object was standing in the way. This was caused by a mathematical error in the character physics code, and we have a fix prepared for an upcoming patch.Various ItemsIn addition to these items, there are also fixes coming for issues with Levolution being out of sync, shots appearing to be fired in the wrong direction, and vehicles outside the infantry area not taking damage when fired at. Also, we have introduced new in-game icons that will help you, and us, to troubleshoot network related problems that could cause an inconsistent multiplayer experience.Network Troubleshooting IconsWith the January 30-31 game updates, we’ve introduced two new icons to the Battlefield 4 HUD (head-up display). These were added to the game as a way for us, and the players, to more easily troubleshoot common network-related issues that may have negative effects on the multiplayer experience. The first icon, seen at the top in the shape of a clock, indicates that your connection to the server is lagging. There can be several reasons for this. For example, it could mean that someone else is using your connection while you are playing, but it could also mean that there is a network problem that occurred somewhere between you and the server. The effect of such lag is that it will take a bit longer for you to see what is happening in the game world. If this icon is frequently blinking, you might want to try a different server or see if you can decrease the load on your Internet connection. The second icon, at the bottom, shows four squares that indicate packet loss. When you see this icon, your connection to the server is experiencing lost packets, which means that information is failing to reach its destination, either when your game client sends it to the server or when the server sends the information to you. Please keep in mind that packets always get lost on the Internet and that you should not be alarmed if you’re seeing this icon blinking once or twice. If you have a large amount of packet loss and see the icon often, you will probably experience game “hiccups” sometimes – action will stop for a moment, then speed ahead to catch up. spindoctor
Amazing. We paid for a game from DICE. Mid way through they drop it and hand the reigns over to the epic shitshow that is Danger Close.

RenegadeRocks
EA is looking to launch a BF game every year. That's what DICE is moving onto. There were rumours of Visceral working on a BF game. Its all going to sh*t now. DICE LA making BF maps, Visceral making BF games. I guess, its best not to buy premium and just get the Naval Strike and SA. China Rising was nothing special. BF3 premium was pure gold. Except for the one map pack that dropped in December, that quake one, everything else was spectacular for me. Can't say the same for BF4 premium at all. piper
At present, BF - $60 Premium - $50 It makes more business sense to have a new game and sell every year for $60, because their studio(s) are working round the year on the DLCs already. If this happens, there will be DLC pack(s) for each game so EA will net a bit more money every year.
Heaven Angel
Looks like latest console (upcoming for PC?) patch has messed up the game. Readers and Battlefield 4 forum users are reporting that the latest wave of patches (rolled out today on Xbox 360, PS3, and PS4) have had the unintended side effect of rendering Obliteration mode unusable. This mode, which is new for Battlefield 4, involves randomly spawning bombs and defensive points. Well, it would if it still worked. According to numerous players (on various platforms), DICE has changed the map size and layouts. This impacts the available vehicles, but also has caused problems with player ability to inflict damage on enemy team members. Some users are also reporting issues with arming and disarming bombs at the objective points. The changes to the mode also see the bomb timer increased to 30 seconds. http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf4/forum/threadview/2979150493866908512/ http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf4/forum/threadview/2955065226075017542/ DICE didn’t alert players to changes to Obliteration mode, which makes us question if the impact was intentional. The removal of deadly vehicles and increase in bomb timer seem like they could have been done on purpose, but the issues with damage are clearly a side effect of the recent updates. http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2014/03/04/report-latest-battlefield-4-patch-obliterates-obliteration-mode.aspx Edited March 4, 2014 by Heaven Angel

ALPHA17
^ It is bad (better on PC, for now) and getting it through the VPN method of Taco Bell is still cheaper. So if you ever want to purchase keep that option open.
