Battlefield 4 promotional material lists return of Commander mode
As well as three playable multiplayer factions

http://www.youtube.com/watch?fv=7iezoe-8DGk

New Battlefield 4 promotional material reportedly spotted at GameStop indicates that the
game will feature the return of Commander mode and the ability to play
as three different factions in multiplayer.

Battlefield 2's Commander mode, which was absent from the last game in
the series, gives one player per side a RTS-style overview of the map
and control of various assets such as artillery strikes, vehicle and
supply drops.

The GameStop poster in question, which is viewable in the video
below, also suggests that playable online factions will include Russia,
China and the United States.

3 factions would ruin the game imo coz there will be like 2 factions fighting out and the third faction would come and clean the house.

I think it would be a game type. Like we had Squad death match and rush. There might be a 3 factions conquest or something.

Doesn't matter. I'm quite sure they won't mess up the Conquest mode by introducing 3 team. It would be a total f**k up if they did.

3 teams fighting against each other would be a total chaos.

And also imagine the about the console gamers. We are limited to 32 players in a server. Now dividing those 32 players in 3 teams? Bc that can't even happen. 10.6 people in one team? :giggle:

DICE not interested in motion controls since they don’t improve the game experience

Motion control is a ‘gimmick’ that won’t be implemented in
Battlefield 4 because it adds nothing to the game, DICE executive
producer Patrick Bach has said.

Motion controls are still very much a part of our gaming culture. The
Wii U is fully backward compatible with the Wiimote, Sony continues to
push forward with PlayStation Move, and Microsoft is rumored to be
implementing a much-enhanced version of Kinect for its next console.

DICE executive producer Patrick Bach doesn’t exactly have a high
opinion of motion gaming. In his eyes, the functionality is a “gimmick”
that do not improve upon the game experience.

Bach told EDGE:

“We are not interested in things that don’t make the game

better. There are a lot of gimmicks – people throwing money at us –

‘can you implement support for this quirky control thing’. No, it

doesn’t make the game better.”

“We are extremely open to innovation, but if it’s a gimmick, there’s

no point unless it adds value to the player. Touch screens used to be a

gimmick, because no-one could get it to work until iPhone came out and

used it right. It adds to the experience, and now everyone is doing it.

To us it’s the same with motion control and perceptual gaming in

general; if it adds, great. If it’s a gimmick, ignore it.”

Continuous TDM on Noshahr Canals is a lot of fun. Got into BF3 MP after a long hiatus. The last few patches seem to have addressed some of the balance issues I used to face with certain weapons. Playing with lag (150 - 180 ms) is much better now.
